Rare triplets from Huntington debut at hospital

Tom and Allison Penn of Huntington wanted a baby more than anything. Now they have three.

I wish them well but why is it that when people have multiples they expect everyone else to give them donations - free food, free diapers, free education, new house etc etc. Then they'll have a TV show about them and be able to travel all around the country with a camera crew.

Where does it say anywhere in the article that they asked for stuff? I'm sure it wasn't them that alerted the press, but the hospital due to the rarity of the event. Jeez, jealous much?

why doesn't anyone have kids naturally anymore, like god plans for you to do???

My wife and I recently lost our triplet pregnency in the 22 week. None of the babies survived. My wife also became very sick and was hospitalized for a week after going into preterm labor. We hope to someday try again. God bless this family and their three children. Wow, I didn't know all children were a result of infertility treatments.

God gave man the intelligence to come up with IVF. I am so tired of hearing how it's not "natural" Well you know what? Treatment for cancer isn't natural. Medication for Parkinson's disease isn't natural. Most of the food you eat probably isn't natural. Should we simply let all people with cancer or Parkinson's die? Infertility is a diagnosed disease. So why get all bent out of shape when it comes to creating a something from two adults who will shower their child with love?

Dad said the kids would need 800 diapers per month-and North Shore Hospital responded by assuming the cost for one year. I have friends who work in the Admitting Dept-and when people don't have health insurance-they must make financial arrangements immediately. Yet the hospital can afford to give away diapers? Then give them to all parents of triplets-not just the identical ones. That's not right. Or J Lo just had twins-give her diapers too. One minute the hospital is complaining of spiralling costs-and the next minute they're giving away diapers.

Lighten up! First, I would venture to guess that Medicaid picks up many of those you refer to and second, the diapers are a donation, and likely a tax deduction. Like I said though, lighten up.

sometimes its the companies willing to do so..publicity for this..advertisment for them..shoot..if they willing to give..why not take..had a friend write to huggies and told them our story about having spontaneous twins and they told her just have us send in the birth cerificates of me second set..they were going to send us free huggies for a yr..just for the publicity they'll do anything..and youre going to tell me..if someone offers you something for free..youre not going to except it..
