At new restaurants, East will meet West

Forget the steak frites, foie gras and pastries. Developer Lou Pektor has passed over a deal to bring a French bistro to Bethlehem in favor of restaurants that serve Mediterranean and Asian fare.

Sounds like a great project. Bethlehem does it again. that corner always seemed to be a perfect restaurant space and it is good to see new life there. I can't wait to eat there. When is it going to open?

He may know food, but he doesn't know cars.
That's a Smart4two, not a mini.

Now I see the name....Nicole.
That explains the lack of car knowledge.

Hey Mayor Pawlowski, I think you need to call Mayor Callahan to get some tips and a clue. Bethlehem has turned it around and has created a hip, thriving downtown (& Southside). While Allentown Center City has circled the drain and is heading further down the pipes.

What a great idea, having so many different cuisines at the same location!(if they do indeed have Greek food, I'd love to come up there just to try the stuffed grape leaves; those things are great!)

such a bad idea to have so many cuisines in one place.... a french restaurant would have been so much better. I am so tired of "fusion" restaurants.

I would have perferred something different as well...maybe Cuban, but I'll take this over French anyday.

Just what the area needs, more high priced restaurants that nobody goes to! Starfish and Edge are practically empty every night and have been barely hanging on for years (except maybe on the weekends). Champagne lounge? Seriously? That will be novel for about a year. Good Luck!

I know there's some bad "fusion" places out there, but hopefully this'll be a good one. Although I have to admit, a nice French restaurant does sound great!

Agreed. French cuisine can get too complicated and I don't like half of it anyway. I'd rather see a trendy place like this go in than a T.G.I.Friday's or something like that...

As my grandmother would say, "Trendy places like this will help keep the 'riff raff' out...", hehehehehehe.

Maybe the A-Town city council can take a tour of B-Town and see what they could've done. Instead they put in more sneaker stores and check cashing places.

Awesome!

It would be great to get a Caribbean style place somewhere around here. Good Jamaican Jerk chicken and spicy Cuban sandwiches are where it's at for sure...

Italians doing Greek food...hahahha. is this a joke?

i could make better stuffed grape leaves with my eyes closed.

if this place is anything like their place in Allentown, it will be crawling with wanna-be local celebrities, cougars with fake tans, and snobby golddigging "champagne sippers".

Sounds a bit busy and confusing for a restaraunt theme....keep it simple and it should work at that location...if not in 2 years it will become wings, beer and cheesestakes, like everywhere else in this town

I wish I had the money to spend on a night out how ridiculous dinner for two would buy groceries for a family of 2 for a week. They are just getting ready for when the richer folks come here to gamble, sleep over, flaunt there money and here goes the cost of living in Bethlehem. It's out of control.
