May God give Nicholas' family the strength to go on and keep him always in their hearts as they have yet to raise their other son, who will always miss his brother. Nicholas is now one of God's angels.

So why didn't Joe Lewis just say he was a nice kid? MOST would DESCRIBE as? There's a nice compassionate guy. Did the district public relations person make a statement?

Maybe Liberty High school should have another meeting with the kids STRESSING how "not cool" it is to mess around w/ taking medications that aren't for anything other than what they read. This is sad, very sad, a poor kid can not finish the best years of his life!I am sorry for the family.

David - I agree with you on that ---- however BASD taxpayers need to realize that Joe Lewis has us paying for a 'public relations' specialist to the tune of 70-80K a year that the public never sees or hears from.

BASD must be swimming in 'extra' money - what with the computers that 'went missing' that need to be replaced and having money for an invisible public relations specialist.

My heartfelt prayers go out to this family, and the friends of this young man. Your community is praying for you.

I knew Nick from school, and he used to stand outside with us,(drew, tim, george, mike, and zach) and he was a cool and fun kid! I also met him at the pool a couple times. And it's going to be hard without Nick. It's like an epmty seat in our lives. Nick will be greatly missed, and I as well as my friends will never forget him!
