Where is all the uproar about childhood obesity when it comes to the kids eating all of that candy?(note sarcasm)

As for kids trick or treating in other towns, I can see it to a point if you live out in the country like I do. You go to the nearest town to do it. It is very dangerous for kids to be walking out on those back roads in the dark. But to hop to different towns is another story.

Anyone know when trick-or-treat is for North Whitehall Twp? Last year, I had about 150 kids from Pembroke lined up in front of my house without costumes, mom's smoking cigarettes in my door. I think I'll be taking the little guy to my parents house in Schnecksville and not having trick or treat at my house. btw- I live in historic Bethlehem, about 20 blocks away from Pembroke.

You know, I never heard of that until I moved down here, and my fiance told me about it. His description of it was basically tic-tac-ing, TP-ing, egging, etc. After hearing all that, it made me realize that it's the same night as trick-or-treating in Allentown.

/nothing like waking up on a frosty day-after-trick-or-treating to egg frozen on your car...

And I don't want to sound like a racist, but I would refuse to give the Puerto Rican kids without costumes candy, but I'd be afraid of the aftermath when I'm at my parents' house. They live in South Allentown, where the environment is actually friendly to begin with.

Down here, trick-or-treating is still done on Halloween from 6ish until whenever (usually ten-ish is when things die down). Doesn't matter if it's a school night or not.
The parents still trick-or-treat with their kids, too. And they get "treats" as well (usually a can/bottle of beer or a shot of liquor of sorts)- doesn't matter if they have to work the next day or not.
Im trick-or-treating where you are!

It will probably be done before trick-or-treat night which is the 26th here in Allentown. So figure they will do mischief night on Oct 25. BUt watch them still go out and do it on the usual night for mischief night which is Oct 30. All I know is I am ready for them with my garden hose and the water will be up full blast.

Wow I don't blame you for going elsewhere. You can check on wfmz website and it should tell you when trick or treating is in North Whitehall.

Thank God Quakertown got it right. I am a single dad who works until 5 and doesn't get home until almost 6. Inconvienient, yes. Would I trade my son's smile on that night for anything in the world, No. So he might get to bed an hour later or I might miss a couple innings of the World Series, it is worth it. Keep it on the 31st.

I think Trick or Treating is dumb on many levels and should be eliminated. It's a burden on many people.
