What a shame that a parent "accepts" their child to talk like gutter trash.

"I'll just get in trouble I don't care." That's the kind of attitude that give people the perception that skateboarders are losers.

"" ''I'm just going to skate in Catty somewhere,'' said Dylan Delfavero, 15, of Catasauqua.''I guess I'll just get in trouble. I don't care.''

Delfavero said he doubts if skaters will stop cursing.''We can't do anything about it. It's the way we are,'' he said. ""

Typical skate trash. Maybe they should move all skate parks to Bath then no-one will notice the trash.

"...Parent Sherry Dillon, whose son skates at the park, said she has accepted that there will be some foul language......."

If Sherry can't stop her child from having a gutter mouth, then who will ?

Parents are responsible for their children's actions, and their use of fowl language.

Mike - LOL at the Bath comment. These kids and their parents would blend right in with the downtown sectional couch crowd.

It's one of those stupid loophole laws. It's illegal for minors to purchase cigarettes, but it's not illegal to possess or use them. They should rewrite the law to make it similar to alcohol. You can't possess/use tobacco until you're 18.

Nice - I hope Dylan's parents are proud - they raised a fine young boy that needs his BUTT kicked!

I am all for the skate park. My 9 year old son uses it.Catasauaqua should charge the kids a daily or yearly fee to use the park and use the money to pay for someone to monitor the park. Have hours of operations. Kids cursing, destroying property, or littering will be asked to leave.

With an attitude like his, this kid wouldn't see or use anything with wheels for the next 3 years... might even be taking a special trip to the dentist...

look, catty is a very nice town. very low crime and everyone knows each other. so what if some kids want to hang out at a small section of the park to skate. catty doesnt offer very much more for the kids to begin with and now they're nit picking about this. give the kids a break.

Give the kids a break...skateboarding..the prom...gangsters...waterparks. ..kids will be kids...why the big hype over skateboards...at least they are not killing anyone yet...if they are caught littering fine them..and the "F" word is used by many youths not just skaters...for the most part skaters do not commit crimes

There have been kids skateboarding on my block for years and they are good, considerate kids. They wave and say hi, ask how you're doing, don't litter and move out of the so you can park your car without a problem... and this in a small town also...

It's the kids with attitudes like Dylan's in the article that give others a bad name...

let the kids be kids, some kids are into organized sports in school, they curse other kids are in trouble all the time they curse. adults curse. the borough gave these children and the publics children a place to do their thing .
as long as they keep it clean, and I guess are more catering to those tennis players, everything will blow over.
Thank you catasaqua for possibly saving a childs life since alowing the skate park.
