Lets see, the city is filled with criminals, thugs, welfare cheats, drug dealers and other scum. So who would expect anything different from their children?

Wow, it's so funny to hear people just tear apart the Allentown school district. If you're not a parent in the school district, don't even put your thoughts into a comment. You have no idea what these kids you all call "thugs" go through on a daily basis. The kids you are saying need to be beat, get beat. Their parents don't care what the government says is illegal to do to your children. They beat these kids every day and every night. Is it right that these kids are in gangs? No of course not but guess what when you come home to another one of mom's abusive boyfriends every night, or the cops are up in your house on a drug bust, guess what, all you can do is go and run the streets. Hardly anyone cares about them, and the people who do, they are the gang. No matter what they will never turn you in or speak against you, and that's what these kids want. They strive to have the family feeling with anyone. You come on this site and bash all the students of the school district, when some of us actually graduated from Dieruff and got a perfectally fine education. I would not trade my alma mater for the world. Every school has their problems, most schools just don't get their stories published and blown up all over the news. I however work in the court system and I see it first hand. I see all the compliants of your Parkland, Emmaus, and Whitehall students getting arrested for drugs and such. So don't come on here and down students of the Allentown school district, when your childrens schools have issues, too. You people, however, just sweep everything under the carpet and pay for your mistakes to not be printed. If you don't truly know the situation don't talk about it, you really only make yourself look ignorant.

there security guards should be more to there job. "securing" because a lot of this would'nt happen, there were alot of fights that broke out for the simple reason of hatred amoung one another and i think the staff are handling things wrung. there needs to be more security guards "SERCURINGGGG!!!!!."

uhmmm well hate to break this to you kiddo, but if people want to fight they will. how many kids are in this school? and how many security guards are in this school? also by the way keep in mind that if the security guard puts his hands on someone there is a good chance that the parents could try to sue so the school itself has to set limits on how much they can do. learn the facts before you speak.
