Well lets be honest, they claim a LOT of things that have no basis in reality. Just look at their claims about abortion for evidence of that.

That government that inacted such barbaric laws should be ashamed of itself.

Senseless. From your link:

"I consider what happened to Savita an affront to human dignity and a serious form of violence," said Tina Acketoft, chairwoman of the council's Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination."

I am thankful that Roe v Wade exists in this country. What has happened in Ireland could have happen just as easily here with out RvW.

I wish she had not dies. At the same time i think the Irish government is going to have to confront it own inaction. Perhaps now it will begin to over turn or at least lessen the restrictive laws that exist currently.

Judge says Hobby Lobby Must Cover Abortion Drugs

http://www.opposingviews.com/i/religion/judge...

So? Thoughts? This is clearly the first of many to come.

My view is if a retal business wants to deny its employee's ALL medical coverage based on the owners religous views, they shouldn't hire people of other faiths.

Of course, this would violate the anti-discrimination hiring laws.......

And so what do you think of banning churches and other places of worship as polling places?

One more interesting article. Anyone heard of the "Turnaway" study, where a large study was done comparing women turned away for abortion for various reasons vs women that had one?

All they have to do is make the full time part time. What kind of Country forces people to go against their morals? Guess....a COMMUNIST Country. I guess you want people to lose their jobs.

When you wish a baby to be raped, does that violate your precious morals?

I think if they cover the cost of pregnancy, or other pregnancy related conditions then they should not be allowed to exclude abortion procedures or medications related to especially if the employee is paying part of the cost to be covered by health insurance. This would be like my insurance not paying for a transfusion because they don't believe in it if I were to get cut badly when they have covered all other treatments for the same condition prior to my needing a transfusion.

I didn't think that was allowed Foo? A church was a polling facility? Am I reading that correctly? If they are going to get involved in politics that way then they can pay taxes too.

If a fetus can feel pain while in utero, you'd think the birthing process would be painful for the fully developed baby. It's gotta hurt being pushed and squeezed out through a 9cm hole.

I've always believed this.....“We have found that there are no mental health consequences of abortion compared to carrying an unwanted pregnancy to term.

It can't be any more difficult to have an abortion than it is to carry to term and give the child up for adoption. Both are life changing decisions and I'm sure that most women will never forget either experience.

You mean like those moral christians who fought integration and interracial marriage? Morality is a personal thing; business is not. And how very christian--make your employees suffer so you can throw a frigging tantrum.

What the hell are you babbling about Knutbar. This has nothing to do with fulltime vs part time. Its about giving people HEALTH INSURANCE. Grow the hell up.

A lot of people didn't think it was allowed either, but yet they did it. I guess they dont care if they break the law as long as their agenda is served. Kind of like when they moved the rapist priests around to hurt more children for years....

Exactly. Screw the employee's that aren't of their faith, they BETTER follow the jesus rules if they want a job.@@ What bullshit.

I'd think that's against the same anti-discrimination laws as well. Perhaps that will come up in one of the lawsuits.

Your post is nonsense, if you were really Catholic you would know we marched with MLK. We organized sit ins etc. You see we believe in respecting life, we do not want to see people go to part time when they are struggling as it is under a president who doesn't know diddly about the economy or the first amendment.
