If he's a retailer that sells the real thing, I'm sure it would bother him that much!

If they were a retailer, they would now where to report it. People who buy knockoffs know they are getting just that.

There is a young lady in our town who sells the knock offs and they are legal because she advertises that they are not the real deal.

Copyright infringement is a crime no matter what. Advertising that you're selling a imitation with a falsified tag is just as bad if not worse than mis-representing them as being authentic.

Oh, believe me, they don't make us look bad. I do have to disagree, though, that men of power rarely marry "weak" women. I think there are quite a few who prefer to marry "weak" women simply because they can control the entire relationship. One has to wonder when these men shop for their wives, are they being thoughtful husbands, or controlling husbands... you know, controlling what they wear, how they look, what they do... Just my opinion.:)
Anna, I meant "weak" as in breeding, good families, comfortable means BEFORE marriage. Even a young socialite who is well educated and bred can have a weak personality, esteem, and demeaner.

That's an interesting perspective. I know quite a few women who think they're so much better than everyone, when in reality, they only thing that sets them apart (ha) is that their husbands make a solid upper-middle class income.
A good portion people that are making 'real' money (seven-eight figures) don't focus on the material items. If you're truly well off, you don't need to advertise it. Coach does have nice quality, but I don't want to wear a purse that's nothing but an advertisement (that goes for Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc.) If it was all about good quality, then you'd spend your money on a 'quiet' purse like Lambertson Truex. To each his/her own, I suppose.
I don't begrude someone who likes nice things, but I really get sick of people who think they're better than others because they wear expensive brand purses/clothing/cars, whatever. Try being nice to people and down to earth even to people who aren't well-off or have something to offer you. That's class.
We agree! I have very little to worry about but do not expect to hear me brag like a child. These upper middle classers are wannabe's. They want to join our club, they think they are members because they own a few trinkets that I could wipe my butt with. They do not understand that while they should be proud of whoever's accomplishments helped them to achieve their lifestyle that they walk a thin line of belittling those same accomplishments through their selffish attitudes.

I agree, that's what I'm talking about. It's very easy, and appealing to some strong, successful men to be attracted to women with low self-esteem, weak personality and a meager demeanor. It gives them the upper hand and power in the relationship. Now don't get me wrong, if I was married and my husband bought me a purse, I would be flattered, as long as he is giving it to me because he thinks I would like and enjoy it, not because it's a purse that he prefers me to use.

lol... this reminds me of an ex-boyfriend that hated when I wore capris. One day he said to me that he hates that type of pants and refused to go anywhere with me if I wore them... well I left his butt at home had a really great time without him!:)

You are right, unless they change the logo enough to not infringe the copyright, but with the fakes I see around that is definitly not the case.

No, actually he was quiet attracted to my lower extremities. Anytime he'd see anyone wearing capris he would comment that they look stupid... and he's entitled to his opinion like everyone else, but he was not going to dictate what I would or would not wear...

Are you a pink sock in the urban dictionary kind of way? Are you the sock itself or the wearer of the sock?

Sorry...couldn't resist. Some of my husband's friends were over on the weekend and they got onto some strange subjects and one of them said something about some girl that got a "pink sock" and I was like WTF is that? Then I remembered someone calling themselves on the posts. Low and behold it was on the Coach Purse thread...the same as the Portuguese Breakfast.

Sorry for grossing you out...couldn't resist.
