Jimmy Jazz, huge problem with your logic... I stated that if there was a sale charge, there is potential impact on others... I never said that the impact was due to the cost of the product. For example, if someone were to go out and buy a car instead of having the money to buy food and then starved... is it the fault of the car? No, it is the decision making of the individual.
The potential impact I agreed to is if a person were to sell drugs to a minor (which could easily be relatively non-existant if pot were for sale legally), then there could be potential impact to the child... I take the decision making out of the hands of the child at that time and put it in the hands of the seller. In ANY other case (where the buyer is an adult with enough capability to make their own decisions) the decision is the buyer.
As for addicts selling sex with their children to get drugs... just take the "to get drugs" out of the sentence and you see the same thing. It is ILLEGAL to have sex with a child (in addition to being morally reprehensible). The reason the act was done makes no difference in the court of law. If someone robs a bank because they didn't have a job and were hungry, is that justification? Does it make it worse if the person robbed the bank to pay for drugs? How about if it was to pay for a car?

I understand your logic on the subject, but there are also differences between user and addict too. I would also have to say yes to being ok to robbing a bank for food or for revolution. I have no problems with people stealing from multinational corporations either. The Government divides society by classes and it is that way that the govt can control the masses if the masses make little money and have to work to just scrape by then they will do it. This is also a jumping point into the illegal sales of drugs for most of the dealers they have no drive to obtain a job and do what is right by societies means and take the simple quick money more risky employment of selling drugs. I think if you want to use drugs grow them make them yourself. That way at least you know exactly what your are putting into your body. And no you cannot rob a bank to pay for a car or to buy drugs. You do not need either of them to survive. I think people should also grow, hunt or raise their own food too. I have no idea where i am trying to go with this and have gotten way off the subject. Children should be cared for and never put into harms way but at times once people are addicted to drugs they start down the track of a criminal...that is addicts not a user. My old bass player for years just used heroin until he met this girl who was an adict and started him down the path of addiction taking his drug use and turning it into an addiction. Anyway rip this apart as you see fit and I will try to get my brain to a point to be able to reply

Another bust in today's paper. I must admit I'm a bit impressed with the task force's efforts lately.

You have to keep the pressure on them to report it, watch the correction facility website and when you see someone show up there with drug charges ,ask why they are not reporting it?

what i find interesting about this 'big drug bust' is the day it plastered the pictures of those supposedly involved on the front page(innocent till proven guilty--right?) There was a much smaller article,on page two on a child molester who had done heinous acts to multiple small children in the local area, but there was no photo of this convicted man. Ok so now the users know who they cant get their drugs from, and this will stop these users from seeking there drugs elsewhere-sure, but do you know who your children shouldnt be within leering distance of?
Is the article on page A6 in todays paper, what you are talking about, A man was arrested for downloading child pornography, but his picture was not in the paper, He was not convicted yet but he was arrested, the same as the case with the druggies.
