3If your white don't come here!!!! southern hosipatilly. LOL doesn't exist. there is so much reverse rasism down here.!!!!

no If your white then your the prob. what does that mean???? I don't know but my son has to get woken up by thier music. they throw thier trash in the yard even when you asked them to put it in a garbage can that you supplied. expect to get harrased if you want to drive because they have to play basketball in the road even though the military built them a court not 40ft from thier back door. not even MPs get by without being harrest when they need to respond to a call. I saw them and tried to fix the prob. but noone cares.
the new houseing down here don't care stay away. Our upstairs neighbors let thier dog piss over the edge on our area it's been 4 weeks and I can't let my son out in the back yard because the neighbors will either piss on him or he'll have to play in the wet spot on pour yard.

we've been here for 2 yrs. if you need to see a doctor plan ahead 2 months for an appointment. so if you think your going to get sick call ahead 2 mts. you can goto ER but plan on sitting there 4hrs. My wife a soldier sat there 4hrs. for someone to check out her women parts. soldier or family the ER will take all night.!!!!!
Dentist in this area for family plan atleast 6 mts ahead. Soldier My wife came back from Iraq with broken front tooth (broke in half) now it's been 5 mts. still she has no tooth in front. her sargents won't give her time off work for appointments. she works in the office and watches her first sargent sign people's passes but pass over good people that have been here for awhile and follow the rules. which brings me back if your white your screwed!!! ask any neighbor, ask anyone thats white down here!!!!

As far as reverse racism goes, youÂ’re doing it a bit of stereotyping yourself right now. Just because you've had some bad experiences, doesn't give you the right to say all of those people, and we all know who "those people" are suppose to be, are like that. Their loud music, once again, here we go again, with the "their and those". If you're brave and bold enough to type such nonsense, be brave and bold enough to come right and say what you mean. I've been awaken while living on post with the same problems, from black, white, Hispanic, etc. So, to stereotype a particular group of people, saying their music, is uncalled for and ridiculous.

We're white and we've been on this base for 4 years and have never had any of these problems. If you're having such problems with your neighbors, whomever they are, then you need to be dilligent and call the MP's and also housing. Balfour has a website that has a list of all that works in their offices and what they're positions are. I, recently, had a problem with my upstairs neighbor throwing cigarettes down into our yard, e-mailed Ellie with housing and it was taken care of by 10am the next morning. Music...as far as the music goes, when I called before about loud music at 3am, the MP's were knocking on the door within 10 minutes of the initial call.
As far as dr's appt's goes, I have never had to wait that long for a dr's appt. You can sign up for tricare online and can see what appt's are available. I keep checking back every evening and can usually get an appt. within 7 days, by using Tricare online. Also, Winn has a new way that they're dealing people needing appt's...give it a try, it's good. I had to go to the ER a month ago, and my wait was 3 hours (but it's like that in any hospital, not just Winn). I had to take my son last week, and we were in there for 45 minutes total, from the time we signed in, until the time we left...made it back in time to finish watching the Bulldawgs!
So, I am sorry that you're having such a rough time down here. As far as your wife goes, then she needs to talk to her NCO's and let them know that she needs to go to the dr's and what needs to be done. They are not mind readers! Like I said, my husband and I have been here for 4 years and we're as white as they come...it's rude for you to stereotype people the way that you just have!

I have Black neighbors, German neighbors, Black & White neighbors, White neighbors, and Asian Pacific neighbors. This middle class neighborhood with many ethnicities is a pleasure. I have great neighbors and would not trade them for anything. We here have common values of respect, appreciation, consideration, and hospitality. We are a community here. Your problem is that you are living among folks that do not have these values. Their color or ethnicity is not the problem. There are good and bad folks of all kinds everywhere. Singling them out or only noticing one group due to race or ethnicity is plain ignorant.

My husband and I are moving to Ft Stewart in Dec. and want to stay on post. Since we only have one child, I'm assuming we will be getting a two BR house. Does anyone know the condition of the on post housing? I'm aware that there is alot of construction going on but from what I've seen, there is no new costruction for 2BR houses.
We are coming from Ft Bragg and love it here...
hopefully we have a great experience in Ft Stewart :)

Housing on post is not bad. YOu'll have a two bedroom house, which is what I have. I live at Marne Terrace and it is run down...my place is not bad at all, but not everyone's is as nice as this one. Mine is 1050 square feet, and is carpetted, but others are not. We lived on Eisenhower Terrace and loved it there...but the apt. was 850 sq. feet...so we have more square footage living where I do now. These houses will be torn down soon, and I do not think they are moving people into here because of this. It's all in how you look at it. It's a great place, I prefer living on post than off post, I love my neighbors and just love living on post!

We visited Hinesville in June because we wanted to buy a house; however, after what we saw, we changed our minds. Ft. stewart or what we saw was not too bad. Can't compare to Bragg, because ft bragg is like my second home but as I said hopefully we have a great time which I believe we will since the beach is so close and florida too :) We though we would get a house on marne terrace but quite frankly I don't care as long as we get along with our neighbors and live in a decent community.

Marne Terrace is not bad at all...that's where I live, it's just, it's older and some of the units have problems with them. I absolutely love Stewart...aside from the deploying every other year...but I love it here. We've been here since 2004 and will be here until, at least, 2011. You can be at the beach in less than an hour, Florida in two hours. It's definitely not a big city, but it's just close to everything. The school, near Marne Terrace, is a terrific school...frankly, I would move to this neighborhood just for the school...but then again, I've not heard anything bad about any of the schools on post, just more about DES. I do not mind my neighbors, and if I have any problems that I can't resolve on my own, housing takes care of them for me...and everything is handled, usually within one e-mail or phone call...no problems at all. The only prob. that I've found with our unit is the AC unit, the apt. above ours leaks a lot, so once a month, I am calling maintenance, but I've gotten used to it, and the Maintenance men have too, but it's where they are gone a lot and leave it running and do not change filters the way they should...it's a great place, no complaints from me! And love the size too...you'd be surprised how much 200 sq. feet more means!

Well you make Ft Stewart sound like a great place.
I've read alot of other forums and people were complaining about it and Hinesville. But I suppose it is what you make of it :)
I have a eight month old so I hope there are parks on post. I tried calling housing but they say i cant be in the waiting list until a month out. Hope it doesn't take too long for us to get a place. when is the next deployment rotation, do you know?
Well thanks for the info. Hopefully i get to meet you in Ft Stewart. You sound like you are a very optimistic person which is what we all need in our lives.

I like it here, it isn't as bad as what people say...I think that it is all in how you make a place, if you want to gripe and be miserable forever, you will be, ya know...it's not bad at all. I like the location, I've gotten to know my way around here and where everything is in the area surrounding, it's just not as bad as people make it sounds.

OK since you know everything and everything is good for you. I've called Ellie. Why is our nieghbor 7351 Tanameran Ct. look at thier back yard. it's had a pool and alot of garabage outside the fence. it's been there for the last 2 months. I've watched GMH (or whatever) come and take pictures. nothing changed I've had to get MPs involved because thier dogs chased me when I went to get my mail across the street from thier building. And the lady said she was going to slit my dogs throat when I told them they need to have thier dogs on leashes.
since everything is so peachy for you then tell me what I can do different than leaveing mess. everyday with micheal and ellie at houseing. after I get a police report they say they never got the voice mess. but it seems I remember thier name being men. from the machine. same prob. with the neighbor kids playing basketball in the middle of the street. who the hell teaches thier kids to play in the street, so they can keep thier cars in the driveway. It must be a Georgia thing. Us Northern people just wern't raised that way.

I live off-post in Allenhurst and I love it. We haven't had any wait time either as for appointments and when I had to go to the ER, we were in and out within an hour. Maybe we got lucky, I don't know. I love this area and it's so quiet. On-post is so nice. But we came from Ft. Gordon and it seemed we couldn't ever get anything done because they didn't like doing their jobs there when we needed to get stuff done. But I liked it there as well. Even with the issues we had. Maybe it's because I knew it was just AIT and I knew we wouldn't be there forever LOL. I'm sorry that people are having problems. I don't have the answers. All I know is I like living off-post for a reason. I get to chose where I want to live and I get to check it out before I move into that home. On-post , you don't get to do that. Some may call us trailer park trash , but ya know what?, I don't have to deal with unruly people in this trailer park. It's very quiet here. We have all sorts of different people here. It seems we all get along here as well. If someone is having a personal issue , we all try to help if we can.(GA sucks), All I can say is this, Call Housing and the MP everyday, sooner or later someone will listen. If all else fails, talk to the Squad Leader. If that doesn't work, move off-post.

If you're having so much problems, call, e-mail, keep track of who you've called and when. I find it hard to believe that you called over people's trash and they didn't make them clean it up. When I called, they were here the next day! Go to their website and find out who is over the people you've called. There is a chain of command, just like in the Army, everyone has a boss!

Actually I don't really like it here. It's ok, but it's not the best place I've ever lived.
I live on FS and in a 5 bdr house, there is like. no backyard. it's smaller than my room! In all the other places I've lived, even Japan, We had a much bigger backyard. I don't know about the South, but everywhere else I've lived, people actually play in their backyards.
Another thing. Ive never been in a place that had as much thievery. We've always felt safe, and never had a problem not locking our bikes up, but one day a few of our bikes went missing. We filed a police report, but the bikes were never found.
As far as music goes, WHY THE HELL DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO FREAKING LOUD? not everyone cares about rap. Stupid bass. Do I need to drive around in my mini van blasting barbie girl? Times where it has been really bad, either my dad has gone over to ask them to turn it down or the mp's have been called by the neighbors. If the mp's aren't called and they just drive by, they don't do anything. jackasses.
What else to rant about, hmm. The hospital is pretty slow, esp the ER. I broke my hand 3 weeks ago, at like 9 at night and I went to the ER and I didn't get home till like 3:30. Apparently the guy doing x-rays decided not to x-ray me and wait until his shift ended to pass me to the next person. I'm only 17 and I had school the next day. I remember watching the reflections on the door and I saw people standing around. Then the doctor visited me once, and sent me to x-ray my hand, then the doc never came back but a nurse came in with a peice of paper that the doc had signed saying when he let me go (which was 30 min before the nurse came in) and that he had given me instructions.
I also hate how cocky the people here are. Stupid people walking in the street just asking to get run over and YOU have to drive around them because they think they should be respected for being a NOBODY, and that they don't have to move to the sidewalk because they're too good for it. Yeah. If you expect them to move, then there's about to be a fight.
My last neighbors, hell I lost count how many times the mp's were here after 5. from the father being Awol to suspicion of illegal dugs being in the house, to the loud music, to the abuse of the children. I was happy when I found out that child services sent the kids away to relatives and the parents were kicked out of housinf and the father was discharged. At least the new family can behave like civilized human beings, and I like it.
yeah. hinesville and fort stewart aint NOTHING to be excited about.
