SC Republican chairmen apologize for Jewish remark

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Two Republican county officials in South Carolina are apologizing after they disparaged Jews in a newspaper op-ed in support of a fiscally conservative U.S. senator.

I am a HYMIE and what part of that was bad? Jews take care of themselves and their own-what left wing liberal crackadoodle had a problem with that? Jews are of a better sector than most-families, businesses and morals-why is it that most of my fellow Jews vote for democrats is what I don't understand. Jesse Jackson is probably the one who stood up and say Oh You made a Jew remark that wasn't very nice. Berkley screwed us when they said we need freedom of speech but then they said you have to be politically correct-who cares? it doesn't bother me. Now the way O'bama acts toward Israel-that bothers me.

Benjamin Franklin did not single out a particular group of people to whom to apply his "wisdom". This Republican boob has singled out Jews as having a unique penny-pinching approach to money - characterizing them as a bunch of Jewish Ebeneezer Scrooges. He should have his goyish political head handed to him.

By the way, Franklin has had brighter sayings than the one you quoted.

You have a good point about the jews. Unfortunately, today, in THIS country, non-jews seem to be criticized for saying ANYTHING about them. Anyone who dares do so is often-times labelled an anti-semite. Fortunately trhough overuse, the word is losing its potentcy. People should be able to say good things without getting trashed.

As a Jew I am proud that we have been able to save and make a way for ourselves in this country-we have been chastized by the democrats more by you guys saying "we own the media" and we control the world. Really it is a shame that the democratic party didn't have the same outrage when we learned that O'bama sat in a church for over 20 years that hated the Jews and in that same church he gave his biggest charity money to during the time it gave the Triumph Award to Louis Farrakhan who is the biggest Jew Hater of all times, and George Soros-who thinks the world has and will be destroyed by Jews, also a best bud of O'bama-where was your simultaneous outcry?

Why couldn't he have said that People who are wealthy etc., instead of
Jews. That, by the way, is closer to the truth. Or Catholics who are wealthy, etc. Or that racists who are wealthy, etc. The fact is that it is an affront.

Maybe because he was quoting what he believed was a jewish "SAYING". If one is quoting what one thinks is a jewish saying, it would be less than honest to say it was a Catholic saying. But, yes, perhaps he could have picked a different "saying" in regards to being financially responsible (in eliminating wasteful earmarks).
