No Beer Allowed on Folly Beach?

The mayor of one South Carolina coastal city says officials may rethink allowing alcohol on the beach, after the Fourth of July weekend left Folly Beach looking like a frat house after an all-night party.

Yeah! Keep the trash off Folly! This comes way too late. You got to clamp down on the stupid white trash that are littering and destroying Folly Beach each weekend. I've seen a gradual deterioration of this low life for the past several years.n It's got to be ended now! It's way past the cute and funny stage, it's at the stinking fall down stage of utter disbelief that humans can act in this manner. I can only laugh at the news stories of the drunks that buy beer at Bert's Store affecting the economy on Folly. Day trippers can have Morris Island all to themselves, leave Folly Beach to the peaceful families, which spend the real tourism dollars.

There are always the bunch probably the same ones who throw trash out there car windows etc. These are going to ruin a lot of the fun of everyone else.

No doubt many are probably non locals, but I am sure there were there share on locals causing the problems as well.

All beaches should be private anyway. Then the owners could decide who they let on and who they kick out for littering.
