If NYS is concerned about not receiving tax on smoke shop cigs, why ae they not trying to tax the gasoline also?

becaouse i believe the casino already pays the state millions of dollars.

Okay, that I understand. However, if NYS is insistant upon collecting cig tax, it seems somewhat unusual that they (NYS) is not trying to usurp another large unknown tax base.
However both areas are somewhat government controlled. With the tabacco subsidy paid to farmers and the special interest lobby sources. Huh, I'm just saying....
