Didn't this guy kill someone while going to work at the casino, the same place she worked at?
I wonder where he got all his $ for his defense attorney on a shut and close he was driving in the wrong lane while being drunk case?

He wasn't in jail serving time when this legal crap was going on but at home?
That really sucked, wonder if he even though of the family HE destroyed while he was relaxing at home?
Why is that cops seem to be able to stay out of jail while stoners have to sit in the tank waiting for what you wrote above, apeals and all?

First, this is a very sad situation for all involved, and probably could have happened to almost any of us at one time or another in our lives...
I believe there was a question of the timing of the BAC test in this case...by law it must be administered within a certain amount of time from the incident, and the defense contended that was not done...among other discrepancies...

Like on purpose because he is a well known ex trooper!!!
No, it wouldn't happen to me unless I was the victim because I don't drink alcohol!
I guess there aren't any rules about drinking and working at the casino or driving the wrong way on a expressway?
was he even remorseful for taking another human life?
As a law enforcement official he knows better, even if he is retired as he should still have the same set of moral standards he had while working, what the out come would be by mixing alcohol and driving.
He did the crime now do the time!
How many "other" people complain about a breath test not taken properly get the opportunity this this man has?

Stupid you carry yourself like somebody who has no idea what the inside of a police station or jail is, which may be a point of pride for you but makes your general approach to these subjects laughable. I tend to agree with you however, mostly on the grounds that Police frequently drink and drive among other "minor transgresssions" nationwide while correspondingly arresting and putting away non-police citizens who do the same things.

I'm proud to say that I do not know the feeling it must be to be locked up in jail or have to be at a police station because of some minor transgressions of the law!

Law enforcement has to be a difficult job to do but for a career state police investigator to knowingly throw his life away just for the sake of alcohol is in excusable, especially since he didn't have the pressures of being a police officer to maybe cause his drinking in the first place.

For all you 'holier-than-thou' teetotalers,(and Mad Hags), there is little or no difference between Driving while drinking or on the cell phone or with some medical problem or having a nicotine fit, going for cigarettes...people do it everyday! I have even known people who can suddenly 'black out' at any time, or 'sleepy drivers' to routinely drive with no regard. And for some reason, some people on their way to church,(these are the worst), feel that it's ok to speed, run stop signs or red lights, because they're 'going to church'...And let's not forget those elderly drivers who definitely shouldn't be behind the wheel...

people shouldnt be talking on their cell phones or texting while they're driving.I agree there is no difference. You people wanna think there is ,so you can continue driving and talking on your cell phones.
My grandbaby died, partly because of someone talking on a cell phone while driving.
Point made.

Drive the car, that is why you are using the car, to drive to a destination safely!

Idiots are the ones who drive drunk, drugged, distracted or plain stupid by not following the traffic laws. It is so sad that people don't use common sense and cause the loss of life on the roadway.
