Charles, in a previous post you stated how we could hate a close relative after he died, WE DID NOT HATE HIM!! We loved my father!! God did not strike my mother with cancer, God doesn't do those things to his faithful children. Just to let you know you don't know what your talkng about, we happen to be a very close knit family and we all love the Lord and serve him.
I don't know what my dad preached in Kenya, but if it helped you, that's good. I do know what he did to his 1st wife and 6 children. I also know that he was still married to his second wife and left her and his daughter to "fufill the lust of the flesh".
You're saying that God struck my mother with cancer, IF this is true, why did he strike your prophet with a Heart Attack or why did he not warn him of what was going to happen to him by members of his own "flock" that said they loved him? YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT! WHAT BIBLE DID YOUR PROPHET TEACH FROM? WAS IT THE TRUE WORD OF GOD OR WAS IT THE WORD ACCORDING TO BEN?

There are still many friends and family who are still hurting over her death. In my eyes she was a true woman of god. She took care of her 6 children and her many grandchildren. If anyone is try to CASH IN -- it's Jess and mostly your MUM!!! No one turned to him at the end with ANY REGRET--HE WAS THE ONE REACHING OUT because he knew his time was coming and so did we which is why some of us children forgave him as Jesus would even though he never asked forgiveness. So who are the genuine? The ones who did fight him -- but the ones who stood for TRUTH of which you do not have a clue. Cashing in? On what? Why do you think his own children were kept in the dark about his death -- so those three would have plenty of time to CASH IN. Maybe that's why they denied the truth and stood with dad for so many years...the love of money is the root of all evil. Why else would some stay involved in a ministry that did not practice what they preached? Assuming the preaching was accurate -- that adultery is sin; that lying is sin--that fornication is sin; that stealing is sin? Seek the truth........If you really have the HOLY GHOST, it will lead you and guide you into ALL TRUTH -- as it has his Children since Mom and Dad took us to a church where we received the baptism of the HOLY GHOST AND FIRE back in 1972........and it has not left us yet.......Because He never leaves us or forsakes us like our DAD did!!!!

I had the opportunity to preach at Bro Benjamin's church. The Congregation was sweet and Bro Benjamin (first time meeting him) was a fire ball.

If anything could be said his thinking was very old school, very 1950's revivalist mindset. But that is the way he was I believed he heard from God.

Do people have flaws? Yes. Are we perfect? No. That is why we have a savior and his name is Jesus.

I dont think it is right to speak such wrong of him, in his death.

Yes we all have flaws, but what is being said here is the truth and some of you people need to get real and realize that you have been deceived not only by him but by his friend Jess and Carol. The truth hurts and I expect more of you people who become hurt when all of the truth finally comes out, and it will. It is sad that all those people who have gone to that church for so many years have wasted so much time. Get real people, wake up and get a life.

Mike -- Flaws are flaws -- like a pimple on your nose. SIN IS SIN! When we walk in the spirit we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh -- and that is what's been happening for years and years and years at Christian Outreach Ministries. Yes we have a Saviour to forgive but we do have to ask Him and some are so high and mighty they just don't get it when He does forgive, that we are to go and sin no more! What Bible do you preach? Do you hear from God -- if you do and are led by the Spirit, you would see and know the TRUTH because the Holy Ghost leads and guides into all Truth thus mortifying the deeds of the flesh -- though we still might have a pimple on our nose.

wow, i just got caught up on alot of stuff after reading these boards. i dont know what to say except for that i hope Kiwi gets proper closure and that the truth comes out.

as for the guy telling Kiwi she is going to hell, thats very judgemental on your part. in Kiwi's defense, you arent the judge, and dish it out so quickly, i am afraid that you are in error. I know Brother Benjamin Shields did preach fire and brimstone, but as i posted prior, that was his sermon style old school 1950's revivalist, i know he used to listen to tapes from that era as well, that influenced his style.

However all these peculiar events around his death and how he died and the signing of the death certificate and the churches belongings....well as also mentioned before, God is the judge and I hope that no more damage is done to God's people or to the Shields family.

My prayers go out to you Kiwi. Your father may have had some things he needed to work on in his personal life but he was a great preacher and helped encouraged alot of people.

If he was such a great guy then why did he turn away from his wife who supported him in his ministry, his kids, his next wife and their daughter, and pretend to be married to some strange women. No matter what he did in africa india or some hick town if he can't fix his own house he should have retired from preaching. As a grankid, if I had ever seen him I would have knocked the holy abba jesus out of him for putting my grandmother through all that pain. And when I see him looking up at me from hell, I will look at my grandmother and say this is why you had to suffer on earth so he could suffer in HELL!!!

I don't even pretnd to know everything, but I do know that Ben caused a lot of hurt and pain in my family, and that those he hurt will get comfort when they meet the lord. As for me being a good Christian boy I do not pretend to be that, for I know that I do have my faults and I am not even close to the perfecion that God asks of his children...nor do I wish to be. You say that you do not like to be threatened, well I don't like you assuming that I am lonely, and pushing my family away. On the contrary I am very close to my family and love all of them equally and wholeheartedly just as they do me. So look at your glass house before throwing stones at mine, you will see that my house is standing firm on the word of GOD and that nothing is ever going to bring it down.

True as you say, my opinions are what I have heard, but what I know is that Ben did cause my family a lot of pain and heartbreak. As for what I do with my my family is between them and I.
