No wrong doing? Protecting its own. Shoot to wound, not kill unless the officer(s) were not truly qualified to be a law officers. God will deliver his verdict when their time comes.

Isaiah 53:12

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The police were getting shot at. You better believe they have every right to shoot back with deadly force.

Romans 13:1-7
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:...

IMO Police were justified in doing what they did. What the hell was Mr. Vigil doing with a shot gun in his pants in the first place....he was looking for trouble and that is what he found. I am just glad it is NOT an officer memorial we are leaving flowers at. There is ALWAYS more to the story but anytime a person is killed by police everyone assumes it was the police's fault. This time I have my doubts that the police were at fault. If you look at this person's face book page and all the trouble he was in and getting into....and his jail cell photo....wow upstanding citizen he was.... NOT!! But oh well we will just bash the police officers instead of putting the blame where it should belong....sounds like he was not going to be arrested and taken to jail without a fight. He got his fight and lost.

The suspect is high on meth. Upon being confronted by a tularosa police officer, who recognizes him, pulls a sawed off rifle. Fires at the officer and arriving deputies. And you i d i o t s!!! still point the finger a law enforcement officers. And tothe person who commented wound to injure, your D U M B A S S has never been in a gun fight...

The irony here is this individual died as a result of his own decision and actions. People mourn him and curse the police. Had he killed an officer, the same people who enabled this individual, would be protecting him from judgement, and cursing the police. The police officer would be forgotten by all but his family and brother's in blue..
