You need to take him to the vet right away before
Its to late. The more you wait the harder it will be for
Him to survive.

He can give him lots of fluids...sugar water helps with the dehydration..take him to the vet...make sure he always stays hydrated....my pup had it almost lost him to wear he was weak almost died ...took him to the vet and they put him on meds and a kept giving him fluids and sugar water....once he stops heating his puppy food give him baby food with a syringe to keep something in his stomach

my dog is a parvo survivor. she had full blown parvo and was in the ICU for 4 days. it did cost us several hundred dollars but it was worth it. you have to take your dog to the vet ASAP. parvo takes over very quickly. please keep us updated. i love my dog and i hope yours is a survivor as well :)

exactly what "yea" said...put sugar water into the dogs mouth and rub it on their gums and try feeding the pup the mesh food that is like baby food and take the pup to the vet to get a shot for vomiting but the diareah may still continue just to flush it out...sry but its true. and definitely get pedialite from the baby isle and make him drink it or pour it into his mouth little by little but keep on doing that cuz if not he will get dehidrated and then pass away if he dnt have that fluid in him. get better pup!=)) my dog is gettn better and mosttt of all let him know u love him and be there for him alot.

Yes your dog can be saved. I did it on my own. Once your dog lives through parvo it wont get it again but dont bring any other pups around for a long long time cause for some reason parvo gets into and on to everyting and it lives for months even years. Your dog needs IV fluids and needs to force feed your pup pepto and honey to settle its tummy. You can even give your dog fluids under its skin. I peronsally gave my pup 60ml's on IV 3 times a day for 4 days. I paid 1300 for my pup and i was not going to let her go to parvo. Look for an over the counter med to try and control her from throwing up.

Its possible if you give it all the effort it needs and you need a vet it may cost you a pretty penny but it can survive god bless and i hope your pups doing better

I had three pups with Parvo. Two were positive with no symptoms ever. We decided to give them fluids and a strong antibiotic for those two. The third one was bad with vomiting and bloody diarreah. She had fluids for two days. One Vet recommended giving all of them Tamiflu but a second Vet discouraged it. I ended up buying Parvaid from a feed store and giving my dog with the worse symptoms this for 7 days straight. Alternated water and plain pedialite for fluids. I cooked chicken breast and steamed rice to give all the dogs for 7 to 10 days for their sensitive stomachs. Glad to report all survived and I am slowly adding a kibble for sensitive stomachs with steamed rice back to their diet. It is important to give small meals after Parvo because their stomach is still recovering. I spent several hundred dollars but the first couple days but the Parvaid worked the best. Good luck all. It is a horrible disease.

u can also try canine spectra 5 or 7 depending on the age of dog. my lab was already on her death bed n i have no other choice so i went to Tractor Supply and a girl recomended that spectra 5. and fluids with a surunge by mouth till my dog got back on her feet. it worked. then she told me to boil some chicken, rice or hamburger meat. that was to bring the stomach back to it health. my dog lived. tractor supply actually carrys some pretty cool things for pets.

Keeping your animals up to date on their shots is the only way to prevent. People need to take care of their dogs like they would a person

i just took my 3 month old rottie to get tested, he is showing a slight positive for parvo, but the vet said its coccidia, we did iv's 2 shots and antibotic, well today he had his second pill antibotic and he still isnt wanting to eat,but i am still trying to give chicken broth, mesh food for puppies, pepto, baby food and 81mg asa,for imflamation, and pain, im going to try to get him to eat, his stool isnt black tar and muscus anymore its brown, but still watery, we were giving him pedilyate and still are, but hes actually drinking on his own for two days now, thank gosh....he has had all three sets of 5 in 1, so im bleeching back yard and grass and kitchen floor, and ammonia on carpet, its is a continous battle, but ROCKY is VERY worth it....
