We are but it's not something we advertise. It's just safer to prep quietly.

I'm not saying that something is going to happen that would end the earth. We live in a hurricane zone, there is a severe drought, the economy has tanked in other areas..etc. we should all have food, water, safety supplies and the means to protect our families.

A minimum of six months supply of food, water, medication. A way to prepare food without electric. Buy a weapon and learn the proper way to use it. LOCK up any weapon to keep your children safe (which you know..but had to say).

Let me ask you something if there is a nuclear war in the future what makes you think that the shelter you built and the supplies you stocked up would do you any good? How long does radiation last and how long would it take for ppl to clean it up? While most plant and animal life would be gone how long would it take for regrowth ? I think you would be suffering if you were to survive.

Luckily for us we don't live in a high target area. I really doubt that Texas is on the list of possible nuclear attack sites. My family also has the means to leave the country if necessary. We are far from totally prepared..but we are working on it.

You are wrong. We are at high alert. We have the port or Courpus which they would try and destroy ASAP because of the military supplies they store. Same with the kingsville military base, and the port of Houston. If we had a nuclear attack they want numbers dead. The first thing they would do is attack the nuke the biggest cities. New York, Houston, L.A, Chicago, Phoenix. Oh and not to mention Texas has 3 cities in the state of Texas that fall in top 10 biggest cities in the united states. They are San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. So they would definitely hit Texas first.

Go look it up yourself.

Radiation weakens when it passes through soil. So a deep shelter should be on.... Just hope the nuke doesn't fall directely ontop of your bunker. They also sell radiation pills. And it's about 6 months for radiation to weaken. Get a bunker, put it under ground, make filtered air flow and have proper storage. You won't need guns till after the first six months.

Ok say radiation weakens after the six months ,you crawl out of the hole you dug, now how long will it take you to replant your food and multiply the animals? Don't forget your supplies is already out.

Twinkies, toilet paper, and water....that's the doomsday gold right there.

And lots of .22 ammo, you can buy a brick of 550 rounds at wally world for less than $20 and a .22 rifle for roughly $150. Shotguns are cheap too but the shells take up a lot of space for storage.

Anything is possible but I see New York, DC, Chicago, the sub base in CT and maybe LA.

If that were to happen we would ration our food & water. Also they sell special seeds that can be stored for years. It's a scary thought

Lets be real about this. LA is closer to Japan, Korea, china.. So LA is now nuked. Phoenix is Next, they are gone.... Now Texas, after texas if they can reach them the order would be Chicago then New york.
