That's the point you idiot! If you didn't get it then you need to go back to school for that slow comprehension problem you inherited from your mommy and daddy.

Your comment is not as dumb as some would think. There are certain regulations that must be abided by in order for an ATV, golf carts, etc. to operate on public streets/roadways. This has come up before: In order for Port A to allow golf carts on their roadway, they had to research the state motor vehicle statutes. I believe they can only be used on roadways with posted speed limits of 30 mph or less. If I recall, Port A had to modify or pass a local ordinance as well. There was a similar case that involved ATV use on public beaches in CC. I don't recall all the facts, but it was either the city PD or the sheriff department that were utilizing these vehicles for patrolling the beach. Based upon the way the machines were equipped, there was an issue about them being legal to operate on public roadways.

But don't worry...here, in Alice, Texas, America, our high-dollar city attorney has dotted all the "I" and crossed all the "T", and we are a O_K!!!!! Yeah Right!!!

I just read the news article and I can find no wrong doing by the Alice P.D. This activity is being sanctioned by the chief of police and I seriously doubt that the particulars involved are committing any crime. I drive my golf cart to the golf course every other day and have not been pulled over and harassed. This is Alice, live and let live.
