If the shoes fits maybe you should of voiced your concerns at the meeting instead you talk s*** after a decision has been made cry baby. A person can loose the weight and that shouldn't even be your biggest issue, for a fact they dont only spend time here at lunch, what the hell do you see a large Walmart and soon to be HEB here or the fact two different people are building condos or apartments soon, it's not because people eat lunch here. The mall some guy from out of town actually out of the country owns it not the City omg you people think everything bad is the City's fault. He wants too much that's why no one can rent them or buy it. If more people wanted to build stuff they can do so the City would help them out I'm sure, this seems like just the start stop being so negative

A recent estimate (2009) said it was cost 650k to renovate the Anderson Park Pool. 2009 isn't recent and it costs over 300,000 + to maintenance pools in Alice for 4 months only, the new pool would cost less over time. That was this months data the area will be turned into a splash pad for families at the park instead. Even if they fixed the old pool they would of course try to make improvements to get more use out of it and the pool wasn't the only thing being that needed to be done, the restrooms/ changing rooms and kiddie pool needed work not just the big pool.

When in context of a significant project and an very old pool, it is recent. don't be ridiculous.

Now that ur a little more educated should we spend more than half a million dollars to destroy and then rebuild a pool in the exact same place or spend 12 million to add something new to alice , have a nice place to take ur kids, create jobs and generate way more revenue than a single pool would bring

WOW it's the cities job to improve what they have going on before spending millions on something that the city has no use for! Idiots!

I work for the City of Corpus Christi (who owns water at the lake) and I believe you all have a dilema. Alice does not have anywhere else to get water from. The City of Alice would have to waste millions to drill water Wells. So your getting a water park thats great, I applaud you but next thing on your city councils agenda should be where to get water from. As for the user who says rain, im sorry we are in a drought and have been for a while and there are no signs of that letting up anytime soon.

I didn't know it was going to be ready during this drought period, chingow thats fast. Hehe, And I also didn't know that a water well cost millions of dollars. The one at my ranch just cost a few thousand. Chingow, gotta go make some chorizo and eggs tacos... ttyl
