K9 Custom Cuts on Poplar is the only place in City limits to have grooming done. I have 2 male Westies and they do a good job on them.

K9 my dog is scared to death and shakes really badly. In Highland, Groomingdales, she is really busy. Lois' Groom Room in Keyesport, IL. Both of these groomer's my dog is happy to go to, not scared at all, even anxious to go. Sorry, won't let me post phone numbers.

I've never heard of Groomingdale's. Where are they located? I might give them a try.

I thought Groomingdales shut down. Linda got sick and could not do it anymore. I went there for years ,but go to K9 now and am happy. Groomingdales is in the lady's house, almost in Trenton.

First - K9 Custom is not technically in the City - that building is outside of the City Limits – technicality.

The best around is June’s Pet Resort south of Highland on 160 – there is a large radio or cellular tower on the property – just before you get to Clinton County on the east side of the road – long drive way.

I take my Shih-Tzu to K9 Customs Cuts. He loves going there!! Rachel and her staff are friendly, and they love the animals they work on. She is always very busy, but is very accomdating to my schedule.
As for the place on 160...I took him there ONE TIME and we will NEVER go back...I asked for him to be cut a specific way, and when I came back to get him, I could see his SKIN!!! She cut off all his fur, down to the skin, and it was red....She then accused me of neglecting my dog, saying he was matted....My dog has never been matted in his life, he gets brushed on a daily basis....and I suspect that she gave him something because he acted very out of character and acted very confused after we got home....
Again, if I was to recomend anyone, it would be K9...they do a great great job and as I said, my dog cant wait to go see Rachel and her staff every time for his haircut!!!

Do you have anything MEANINGFUL to add to the dog grooming thread, or are you just searching out my posts to say mean nasty things to/about me? Aren't your tirades about Brad Sherman getting the attention & responses you want? Now you've moved on to ME!!! Anon, I have to tell you I'm a little flattered and greatly disgusted by your behavior towards me.

I have a very large hairy dog and a small mix, I take both to K9 and am very very pleased with the job they do. I take both to Junes resort for all my boarding needs and am pleased with the care they receive for that. So, K9 for grooming and June's for boarding.

I also use K9 cuts for my Yorkie and am very please. I tried Junes Pet Resort for her first puppy cut and when I went to pick her up she was shaved to the skin and I didn't even recognise her.

I take my two yorkies to K9 Kuts. I had previously taken them to another facility and they were scared to death to go. They do not mind going to K9 Kuts at all and they are babies.

I highly recommend K9 Kuts!
