This non-profit, benevolent, church-based organization seems to always have their eye on profits, don't they? Looks like they're taking their services out of the lower income communities and gearing up to continue to serve the wealthy with their upcoming luxury development in Altadena.

What a bunch of money hungry hypocrites -- not enough rich people in Alhambra, just a bunch of Asians and Latinos, so they sell the place to physician/developers. Shame on them.

How sad to this happeh to such a fine faciliy. My Aunt, Helen Bpyle, lived there very happily for many decades. We always enhoyed our visits there with the beautiful gardens.

As she frew oder, she would be moved ihto and back from various accomodations, dependig on her needs. She always had he best of care.

It will be missed... an end to an era.

What a shame that the Episcopal Church has changed their focus from care to profits. They tore down the Scripps Home in Altadena that served all people regardless of financial status; and now they will sell the facility in Alhambra to developers, to raise cash to build their facility for the wealthy on the site of the former Scripps Home. So sad that their mission is no longer charity but chasing after dollars. So sad for those people of modest means who depend on that care. These facilities are for the rich, only. Too bad the Espiscopal Church has associated with this shameful trend.

The end of an era of charitable care. Now it's big business running the show with the Episcopals joining in. Disappointing.

Too bad the Episcopals have found it in their hearts to abandon their mission of charitable care because the Alhambra facility was not profitable. I guess they forgot that a non-profit organization is not in business to make a profit.
