Good day:

I am filling in my broadcast contact diary.

In the late '70's I was employed by Broadcast Programming and I am checking to see if your station was a BPI customer then.

I met at a NAB or NRBA convention a like able man, George Allen, who then owned the station and his daugter who worked there and then.

He referred to the station calls as Kind, Lovable George Allen.

We had over 500 clients and so I am trying to put all the monkeys back into my memory barrell.

Hi Claude!

Not to speak for KLGA. But I was employed there in the late 70's and remember that George bought a small 2 deck ( 2 reel to reel and 2 cart carolsuel) automation system. I'm pretty sure he looked into BPI, but at the end of my employment there he was looking at having the music dubbed to reel with que tones in house. Yes...It was a big job, that never really got enough time to get done. I don't think the station ever did really get it up and going, and he eventually sold the automation.
And Yes! The calls were truly truth in advertising. George Allen was indeed Kind and Loveable!
