I, too, was beaten as a child. Not only that, but I was sexually and psychologically abused. Somehow, I don't think ANY of this misfortunes entitle me to go around killing anyone. That Muhammad was beaten doesn't entitle him to kill anyone, either. It's a lame excuse, and I hope there isn't a jury in the States who'll excuse his behavior on that account.

Ditto. I agree with you Anna. It sounds like everyone here has been able to break away from that and become strong, responsible adults.

He probably has to exhaust all of his appeals first and will be sitting there on our dime for the next 5-8 years. Of course then there's the argument regarding the death penalty and how it is carried out in a "humane" manor or not.
