Are you Finance Directors still spending your work time reading the updates on this article? LOL!
Give it a rest. At least you are not hated for doing your job each and every time some scumbag gets arrested and it ends up in the media. You didn't get spit on or sworn at today. And you didn't have to work outdoors fixing sewar pipe in the freezing rain. It's kinda realatively cozy in your world. Lighten up. |

MYFOXNY.COM - Auditors say the New Jersey Turnpike Authority wasted $43 million on unneeded perks and bonuses. In one case, an employee with a base salary of $73,469 earned $321,985 when all payouts and bonuses were included. The Comptroller's Office audit released Tuesday says taxpayers also paid $430,000 for free E-ZPass transponders for employees to get to work and nearly $90,000 in scholarships for workers' kids. http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/traffic/traffic_ne... "And yet, across America, many government workers are getting rich off taxpayer-funded salaries. City managers get free luxury cars, firefighters get half-million-dollar lump payments and, in California, one city worker is being paid $500,000 annually during retirement. In New York state,$100,000 salaries can’t be called rich, but at a time when unemployment remains near 10 percent, there are 99,000 state and local workers bringing home six figure salaries."
