Secrecy is good

It is only the secrecy that caused the problems with the gang strike force and the secrecy will be maintained. Ex-cops in the legislature protect the secrecy of those in the field.
...
Almost like Washington D.C., where the bankers and their surrogates in the congress (Amy and the bluedogs) protect bankers and leave the public vulnerable.

They wouldn't be going through all this now had they not been breaking all the laws they were to enforce.
There has to be some sorta of checks on what law enforcement is doing other wise the same crap will happen.

Its good to know that our legislators back the people who protect and serve our communities on a daily basis. Gangs are a menace to society and we need every single tool to stop their violence and havoc throughout the state of Minnesota. Senator Moua should look at her own community and know that gangs tear up neighborhoods. Thanks for the Senate for listening to law enforcement and making the right decision.

The most important thing senate should be doing is to get the judges to actually hand down sentences to actually lock up the violent offenders instead of slapping them on the wrist and giving them probation.

Police if allowed to would smash your door down and drag you away.
Protect the Constitution? If it were legal or otherwise dictated, the jack-booted thugs and ARMY SWAT teams would become political enforcers- or has it already got to that point.

It doen not matter how many times a bill gets re-named and ammended. When you lacked leadership and ethics in hiring the right officers for sensitive units like the Gang Strike Force, nothing will be achieved. Mee Moua and teh rest of the senate just wasted time and efforts.

Mee Moua sits in the Ramsey Sheriff committe and should not be heading these hearings for it causes a conflict of interersts. Harrington and Coleman has been silent in these issues.

Pathetic Moua! Give gangbangers more rights after a police officer was killed. Just pathetic.

Mee Moua is a sell out just like the African American officer Rondo from the Minneapolis police Department. He cried and screamed discrimination and the City just shuted him up with a few dollars.

Funny how people don't care until it's their name on the list...there are white folks who's name is on the do not fly list by the government. They don't even know they were added..
I bet anyone anything that;police officer who step out of bound are not on this list; they will never be. So if you want to be a legal criminal and have the shield to back you up, become an officer with any city in this state, becaue here in MN white officer are never wrong.

Quote:Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, a retired county sheriff who led the Senate opposition, said ..... "Let's just make sure we do not hinder all of law enforcement because of what went on in Ramsey County.''

Ah, Billy, it wasn't just in Ramsey County. Look across the river and around the metro. As to Mee Moua's bill, this is another example of why she has to go. It's difficult to believe but the East Side actually managed to find someone worse than Randy Kelly. With the gang problems in the area she represents she is the last one who should want to handcuff law enforcement.

Geez, don't they all ready have a list of POST certified people in MN? Seems that's the biggest gang out there.

Moua is a failed leader. I can't think of one thing she has done during her tenure in the legislature that has made a positive difference to anyone. Now she's pandering to gang bangers to make their lives easier. Moua, you are a ccrrappy legislator so keep your nose out of law enforcemnt. You know nothing about it.

She failed to act durig the legislative hearing involving the gang strike force and instead she shifted the blame to the search and seizure laws. She wanted to protect Harrington for his lack of leadership in selecting those corrupted officers.
