Good for him! It's about time someone other than the teachers and public employees unions had a chance to make their opinions heard on an equal footing. I am far more interested in seeing Minnesota businesses prosper than I am interested in hearing how the public employees are. As far as I am concerned our public employees should be paid the absolute minimum it takes to get the people we need, not the absolute MOST the DFL can get away with.

When are the people of MN going to hold the politicians feet to the fire and make them act like they are on the management side of union negotiations, not an arm of Education Minnesota and the AFSME? Btw, I am a MN taxpayer, even though my location appears as WI.

Yeah, because business never gets a fair shake. Always having to find new ways to dodge regulations, outsource jobs, swindle investors and cook the books. Without help from bought and paid for politicians this would be really hard.

Obviously, corporate America has learned their lesson from the BP spill. Why not give businesses unbridled access to shape public policy? President Bush, the oilman, would have been far kinder to BP. With unlimited contributions, why not buy politicans outright?

Thanks Roberts Supreme Court!

This is the type of endeavor we have come to expect from the FailPlenty camp. Pander to corporations to buy votes and perpetuate the closed-loop gravy train that politicians enjoy in and out of office. Only abandonment of the highly corrupt two party system by voters can change this. Just say "enough is enough," and ignore the partisan bickering meant to divide and pit citizens against one another and to distract us from the hypocritical, corrupt actions of the politicians. Corporatism is not freedom.

I hate to tell ya, but the next retiree is Ms. Ginsburg. That's a push. I don't see Kennedy retiring before January, 2013 when this odious manchild President will be thrown out of office for grotesque incompetence and pernicious malfeasance.

He makes the feckless and impotent Jimmah Carter look like George Washington.

Great news on two fronts. First, the overall effort is long overdue. Second, Brian McClung has proven to be a very effective leader over the past six years. I'd like to come back to a more pro-business Minnesota some day so Brian has his work cut out for him, as the comments to this story indicates. Brian, remind the naysayers that Minnesota businesses are made up of Minnesotans, and a few Wisconson-ites, folks who pay (too many) taxes and contribute greatly to locals schools as mentors, support non-profit organizations with time and money and provide leadership in neighborhoods throughout Minnesota. Good luck Brian!

Was hoping we would never have to see his mug again...ugh. How appropriate that he moves to a PAC that will push for moves that will hurt higher education and work to allow people untrained in education theory and practice into teachers. Scary.

"Rep. Ryan Winkler, DFL-Golden Valley, slammed the formation of the PAC, the second in Minnesota expected to solicit corporate money. He said it would push for policies that have led to increased property taxes, tuition and health care costs.

"Corporations and their big-business allies are prepared to spend millions in negative attacks to keep the scales tilted," Winkler said. "

So Rep Winkler, where do you place the interests of Indian Tribes, Building Trades Unions, Take Action MN, The DFL, AFSCME, MAPE, Teamsters, UFCW, Sierra Club, Education MN, Minnesota Nurses Association, shall I go on?

I find it outrageous for you to make such an irresponsible statement. You are obviously not well suited to serve in the legislature given your wildly partisan stance.

The groups above wrote the handbook on negative ads.

Whenever I hear the name Minnesota Forward, I visualize an image of lemmings charging off the edge of a cliff. This organization is some of the worst polluters and scofflaws in the state attempting to write our policy. There is no protection to keep BP or a company as bad as BP from choosing our legislature. Will they choose candidates who hold companies harmless from hiring undocumented immigrants, creating toxic pollution, and seeking expensive subsidies they don't deserve. You betcha!
