If anyone needs a psychiatrist, do NOT go see this man. He is a flaming homosexual who clearly has a chip on his shoulder, especially toward women. I think his personal issues prevent him from being able to help anyone. Be warned - if you go to him for help, you may be subjected to passive-aggressive insults as well as severe verbal abuse, both from him and his counselor, Jason Bonfanti. Then, after they send you away with a faulty diagnosis, they won't stop harassing you for money. We have talked to a couple of his former patients who also complained about their abusive behavior. Do youself a favor and see someone else.

He is awful. I was the parent, not the patient, but he has absolutely no clue how to talk to children (or their mothers). The hair on my neck still sticks up when I think about our visit. We couldn't get out of there quickly enough.

It is a shame that the Health Information Protection Act prevents doctors from presenting "their side" of the story.

And no, I am not Dr. Hill.

The one and only thing "wrong" with Dr. Hill and Jason Bonfanti is THEY TELL THE TRUTH!! If you want your hand held and someone to tell you that it's not your fault, don't go to them. But if you want a real diagnosis and an unvarnished opinion of your life and why you have sought psychiatric help, then you need to go see them. And about the bill, I can't imagine the gall of someone wanting to be paid for providing you a service. Go to a Fortune Teller...they seem to be more of what you are looking for.

I love Dr. hill and think he is up to date on his research and is managing my child's care well. We are very happy with him. Another point of view...

This Doctor clearly demonstrates that a few, marginal dollars of profit from only ONE visit is more important in his decision to treat me when compared to a competent doctors commitment to help someone, medically, whom is in need for help. As far as Code of Ethics goes, shame on this greedy doctor!
The sad fact is, Dr. Hill still accepts my insurance. He will stop taking my insurance in One Month From Now. Today, I begged that he see me for an initial visit soon, while still taking my insurance. From there, I told them that I would continue seeing Dr. Hill, paying THEM FULL PRICE OUT OF POCKET. I explained that, for the future follow-up appointments, I would file the "out of network" claim, so I can get reimbursed 50% from my insurance company (per the out-of-network terms for my insurance).
They still refused to see me for an initial appointment utilizing my, soon-to-be-unaccepted, insurance. Sadly, it was purely a MARGINAL money decision.
I was insulted and now have to continue calling around for a Psyc that will accept new patients.
What an insult. Dr. John Hill should be embarrassed of himself.

Dangle, the whole point of my original post was that my wife was not even treated with the dignity and respect due her as a patient! And I was complaining about a bill because I don't think it fair to have to pay a money-grubbing homosexual with women-hating issues $200 out of my pocket to verbally abuse and insult my wife during a visit. That is not an honest assessment of my wife's personality or situation, that is harassment. UNDERSTAND?

I am a current patient of both of them, and I am a female. I have not experienced this type of treatment. While I agree Dr. Hill does strike me as a homosexual, who cares? It doesn't affect me. Dr. Hill has not made any judgemental comments towards me, however, he is blunt when talking about exercising. I am not overweight (I have a BMI of 21), but he brings it up because it will help with my mood. He didn't make harsh comments when I told him my grades didn't get me accepted into clinicals either. His response was "That sets you back in school, doesn't it?" He explains my medications to me very well. He is very thorough in this, even though I have medical background. But I can tell that he does it because he doesn't want me to take my medication wrong, and try to pin it on him, which is completely understandable. Mr. Bofanti is also very understanding with me as well. He tries to get me to see the ugly truth, which sometimes I don't like, but I know it is what is necessary for me to get better. He is actually the most insightful and attentive psychologist I have ever dealt with. I don't know why your wife felt like she was attacked or harassed by them, but maybe she just interpreted their honesty differently than what it was meant. I don't know. Irregardless, I hope your wife has found a new psychiatrist and psychologist that she can have a better relationship with so that she may get healthier mentally.
