There are few amoung us that do not feel some remorse about the shooting yesterday. God bless these folks families and remember to hug your children. They are the future and deserve all the help we can give them.

I am disgusted by what happened. I do not see any reason for citizens to need assault weapons. Only military and police needs these weapons. I told some friends I bet the parents had the guns and that is where the 20 year old got them. Sure enough that is the case. I am not a NRA fan or enemy but if you think you need assault weapons why don't you tell the parent who just lost a child that. Don't tell me someone can do more damage with a knife.
Don't say it's people who kill people not guns because nobody says "bombs don't kill people but people kill people." I don't see any legal bombs available at Walmart.
I did hug and kiss my kids explained what happened and there was some crying because child or adult how can you not shed a tear over this. Hopefully this stirs a fire in everyone's soul to make a push to remove assault weapons from society.

Guns do not kill, but people do, and that is where we must start as a society. Background checks, psychological testing, and stricter application process would be a good place to start. Another would be that once approval is granted, those individuals must be held accountable for their own gun control. If a person owns a weapon that is capable of multi-rounds, there should be an accompanying safe to go with them first. The ATF approves, along with local police chief or sheriff any application for class A firearms licenses. A yearly inspection is required on those people, but what about the people they sell to? There is nothing requiring those people to keep them locked up or out of the hands of their children. You (owners) want them, than act like it for what they are. Secure them as if your life depended on it and the problem would be solved. Once an unsecured weapon is used in a crime, make it a crime against the owner who failed to secure it. We do similar things with our children who are absent from school. We hold the parent accountable, so what's the difference? Maybe many lives would be that answer. Furthermore, limit the amount of ammunition based on the reason given for wanting an assault weapon in the first place.
