The "strawberry vs. poptart" comment I made was directed at the candidate who thinks that the position of Sheriff is merely administrative. Tom Thompson knows that law enforcement isn't merely about dollars and cents, but about what is wrong and right. It's not just a job for him, but a way of life. I've known him for close to 20 years and in all that time, his very lifestyle has exemplified the kind of Sheriff he is. He is a man with a clearly defined moral code. I'm proud to call him my Sheriff.
