Sheriff of Butts County Ga

Butts County Sheriff's Dept only does their job when they see fit! My Husband and I called them for assistance with a neighboors loud party and almost running over their teenage children laying in the road at 1:00am. We called twice and nobody ever came! Some sheriff's office, I tell ya!

I was arrested by Butts county a few weeks ago and after I was had my head slammed in the door then I was dropped on the ground while in handcuffs as a female to be treated this way for the crime of OBSTRUCTION which in this county is a trump charge. I complained to Sheriff POPE to look in to how I was treated his reply was he viewed the tape and found the charge to be legit. I again sent an email asking him to look in to the abuse and that i had no problem with the charge again he felt that an officer should be allowed to slam a womans head in to a car door while in hand cuffs and then push her down on to the pavement. FEMALES BEWARE THEY HAVE HAVE THE APPROVAL OF THEIR HIGH COMMANDER TO ABUSE ANYONE. If times were not so hard in this economy, I would have hired an attorney and went forward with charges against this county it has taken me three weeks to get over this attack and three doctor appointments.

As a Law enforcement officer in extreme N. Ga. i can only say that i wish we had a Sheriff with as much Desire to do his job as sheriff Pope. It's interesting to hear that the ones that have been "Arrested" are the ones complaining. Who Cares, i salute you Sheriff Pope For having the guts to enforce the law and not just being a politician.

If you bring trouble to our great county, sheriff pope will stop it at all cost, thats what we pay taxes for. complain about the drugs and thieves that keep coming here. more heads nee to be slammed around.
