I agree, that dress what completely inappropriate. Why did she even think they'd let her in with such a dress? Not to mention it's just downright ugly.

What kind of parent/guarding lets there child walk out the door dress like a hooker? The authorities should fine the parents/guardians for child neglect as it seems they can care less about the wellbeing or morality of this girl. I also commend the principal for having her removed from the school event.

I don't think the dress was appropriate. However, at my high school, girls were allowed to wear things to prom that we couldn't wear to school, such as, strapless dresses and there was no defined dress code specifically for prom. I'm a little confused about why they didn't let her in after she offered to cover up? And then they wouldn't even give her back her money? I don't agree with that. If the punishment was removal from the prom and forfeiture of costs for violating the dress code that should have been determined before the prom. Students should have known exactly what was acceptable and what wasn't and what the punishment would be for violation.

This dress is completely inappropriate for a prom! I too don't understand how she was allowed out of the house wearing that. I would never allow my child to wear something so revealing. The school did the right thing by not letting her enter the prom dressed in such a way.

I totally commend the principal of the school for not letting the young lady attend the prom. She looked like she was dressed to go to a pool party, not a prom. It can't help but make one wonder, what was the parent thinking, to let the child out of the house looking like that? There was nothing suitable about that garment that said PROM. It should not have to take the school officials to do the job of the parents. Sadly enough in today's society they have to. If the young lady doesn't get her money back, maybe she will learn to take a dress code seriously. Great JOB School Officials

the young lady definitely needs counseling, there are too many sex offenders in houston.she's definitely targeting herself, seeking attention which might lead to fatal consequences.there are too many people targeting children and young women.once you are targeted it's difficult to avoid offenders plans because they have already figured out how they are planning their kidnapping.a majority of sex offenses are not spur of the moment violent acts, they are acts in which the offenders have been thinking of their victims.that young lady should have been required to stay in the lobby until a responsible family member picked her up. however i bet she attended the after prom parties and was the topic of discussion or should i say the centerpiece.

There's a huge difference between "strapless" and looking like a crack ho. Once she made a scene, the option to go to prom was gone. She had arrived looking like a hooker, so even if she covered up, everyone would still be all abuzz talking about the chick that is at the prom looking like a hooker. The genie was out of the bottle. I think chicks think they can get away with anything, and they get mad when they're proven wrong. Thank god I'm not having kids. I don't ever want to deal with this kinda crap. |

1 at my prom dress code was nonexistent. but we all had common sense not to wear a slutty outfit like that one. she offered to cover up,so they should have let her in or gave her her moneyback. |

1 In most cases today, dress codes are not only strictly enforced, they are also outlined in pre-school-year literature. On a goof one day, I looked at information for new students to the school I attended and there were PAGES of information on what NOT to wear. If the student didn't look up those rules, it's her own fault. |

What kind of parents would let their teenage daughter go to a prom dressed like that? The girl had tattoos everywhere and looked like trash! I hope she did not pay more then 10 bucks on that hooker outfit. Obviously, she did not get cuffed for looking like a slut she got cuffed for not leaving the prom. The prinicpal is black so those of you trying to pull out the race card go shove up your butts. I would be so ashamed if that was my daughter.

1 That girl needs to get a clue: the outfit was neither stylish nor flattering...it was trashy! |

They gave her a choice dude! She even says it herself in the interview..."The only choice I was given was go home or go to jail." Obviously she wanted jail, because at that she should have just went home and taken up her grievance the next day. I think if she was making a scene (which it sounds like she was) the only choice for the chapperone was to call the police because they were not able to diffuse the situation. I would rather have the police come out than engage myself in a situtaion that would have unsavory legal ramifactations for me in the future. The dress was inappropriate! She looked like she was going to the prom then to the track afterwards to make some cash! Good for the school! |

1 I am truly shocked by the venom I'm hearing here. It's a girl, wearing a dress. Not some monster trying to sway your children, or a pusher making them take drugs. A girl. In a dress. A lot of you need to reassess the quite hateful tones you are spouting here, and gauge why you feel such negativity toward this girl. Many of you even says this dress was approriate somewhere else, but not at the prom. So it's an issue of taste. Double standards, anyone? Somehow she sullied the sacredness of the prom? Please. |

2 That "somewhere else" we say the dress was appropriate for is a street corner, ie like a hooker, a prostitute, a street-walking skank trash. This type of outfit AND girl doesn't belong in a dance with other respectable people. |
