Joe works each and every day to help the Town of Alderson. In fact, I sometimes think he does way too much and will wear himself down. I certainly hope not, because he is the BEST MAYOR that has ever been in this town!!!!!!!

I think you need to wright a piece in the paper how well we all appreciated what the Greenbrier did for our little town. That we do have good people here and are very thankful for what people do for each other and understand the circumstances that people have in their lives right now.

I think you need a reality check!!! What the Greenbrier did??? How about what they didn't do to help others before making sure their own pockets were padded and taken care of!! Get a clue, help others before helping yourself!

I'm just saying if this event wasn't going on this whole state would still b without power we are not this big state that gets everybody to help all the fires going on and tornadoes in the west these power people could be there instead because this state couldn't afford them look at the big picture no power anywhere cant get ice as hot as it is without power to make it to give out but I bet you had your nasty carcus down there living it up probably taking hand fulls cause you think someone owes you why didn't you have things ready for a disaster to strike cause your like a thousand others it can't happen here keep thinking that way and God will show his wrath again and you need to realize how much money that brought to our small towns.

Sometimes you have to line your pockets before you are able to help others. Food, water, ice, etc. don't come for free, so by the Greenbrier making money, it filtered down to those in need. That's what is called "paying it forward"!

Food, water, ice are part of Federal, State and Charitable relief efforts. They are paid for by taxpayers or donors. The Greenbrier by way of power and influence monopolized the resources that were intended for the citizenry. If you subscribe to “trickle down” then all you can expect is a trickle. The only thing that billionaire buffoon donated was a bunch of rotting produce. Our taxes paid for the relief resource- that’s “paying it forward.”

C'mon, please, this forum is about Joe. Don't open up a can of worms about what the Greenbrier has done or not done. Take that somewhere else, start a different forum, etc.

I bet you're part of the majority of Americans who get back more than you put in. And never signed the front of a paycheck. You may respond with something along the lines of the good samaritan however to be the able to do what he did he had to be very wealthy. Imagine offering to cover someone's hospital & hotel bill for as long as it takes. To get to that place he had to make a large evil $

Gripe and complain, why don't you? You are probably one who made several trips to collect the food sent to Alderson by Jim Justice. Yes, the golf tournament did go on, and I feel it was good for the state. What did you want Mr. Justice to do, run right down and take care of you first? Everyone around here was in the same boat and I don't think it hurt any of us - I know it was inconvenient, but we lived through it, didn't we??

I agree with you completely and I just posted in reference to the person complaining, which I shouldn't have, because that just gives complainers more fuel for their fire - they always have an answer and something to gripe about.
