Everyone thinks of spring migration and the huge concentrated number of birds, fall migration really isn't like that so it wouldn't be the slaughter that many think it would be. However I agree it is unfortunate we can't separate those two and allow fall hunting like every other state they fly over.

Yah, it seems like we just get the snow geese here and can hunt them and then not long after here come the cranes and even though snow season might still be open we have cranes and the geese are gone. I would have to say hunting in Nebraska is more important than crane watching. Just my opinion.
