Here's an idea. Since China and India need more coal to produce steel, let them pay the high price for it! They say we have plenty of coal in the U.S. Why should our prices rise? If you look at the oil producing countries, their gas prices are much lower than ours. Why? Because they don't pass the higher prices on their own people. They make the other countries pay.

PA is a net exporter of energy. There are a lot of coal fired power plants here because of lax environmental regulations. Energy corporations take advantage of this and build their plants here because they get away with polluting with dirty coal easier than in other states. The excess power is exported on the grid to customers in other states.

Awww.....don't worry.........you have guys like State Sen. Browne around. He will find a way to help you - Like maybe going direct deposit to the Corporation where you get your heat. He says we could start paying now to get a little interest savings for the future. WOW! What a guy. Why didn't we think of that? Maybe i could just have my employer divey up my paycheck to all the rich corporations and give me a taxable weis's card with the minute fraction we would have left over. We are a divied nation under such leaders anyhow.

Your idea completely spits in the face of a free market system/democracy//capitalism/w hateveryou want to call it.
