Houston retrial: Deputy testifies Jones had Rocky 'on his mind'

Full story: www.knoxnews.com

Every deputy in Roane County knew about the warrant for Rocky Houston - the one the sheriff warned them not to serve. "He told me not to go down there," Melissa Heidinger, a former deputy, testified today.

What a bunch of scumbags..they should be tried, and if found guilty, give them the needle too. They are as evil and despicable as the bunch that were just tried.. What the he(l is wrong with people these days?

too many kin folk in that county.
and everyone knows everyone else.

the two cops weren't choir boys by any means.
but that doesn't make it any less of an ambush murder.

If Mr. Jones was as hot-headed as the stepson he raised( who I might add was fired from Harriman PD for dealing drugs OR doing them), then I'd imagine that he was a total ass to the brothers. His young stepson is a nice enough guy who idolized Bill and as they say, the apple falls NOT far from the tree and vice-versa. The whole fiasco was and is a shame but 'bubba's" who get a gun and a badge can get some serious Napoleon Complexes and become total arses.

Very interesting.. I've managed to live 56 years without any sort of hassle TO or FROM the law.. Just goes to show that if you live like a human being and don't act like a fool, you won't get shot or put in jail. Maybe the cops are rogue cops and dirty.. but, there shouldn't be any reason that they come to your house in the first place, I mean, unless (1) they are in some sort of criminal behavior WITH YOU; (2) you have a meth lab or some drug deal going on (3) you are a thieving bas(tard that they are chasing... you get my drift.... I would not expect a dirty or clean cop to hassle me because I'm not going to do anything to give them a reason to serve a warrant on me. Very simple. ANd, if they are dirty, they should be cleaned out by someone.

Well, that's right. All those porch bubbas had to do was go along peacefully or flee the scene. No one had to die. The officer did not act properly by taking a civilian and he may have had bad intentions, but you can't shoot at the police, no matter what. The face is that Rocky Houston shot and killed a police officer and a civilian and Leon shot and kept them pinned down. They are both guilty of first degree murder, based on the evidence presented at the first trial.

have you ever heard audio of these two dirt clods ???
i'm so sorry to insult dirt clods, but these two have some severe chromosomal issues bouncing around in those empty skulls.

and rocky in particular has, for quite a while now reminded me of someone i've seen somewhere.
but i just could figure out who.

then it hit me.........

Ha! Sharp wit!
I have heard and seen them "interviewed" if you can call it that. I also agree with what you said earlier, this trial should be help in another place. Another part of East Tn would do, since most of the rattlebrains don't go more than 30 miles from the cabin.

Then they're thanking God for making the verdict happen. God had nothing to do with this verdict.

"but you can't shoot at the police, no matter what. "

"Self-defense : is the act of defending oneself, one's property or the well-being of another from physical harm." -no exceptions.

A Castle Doctrine is an American legal doctrine that designates one's place of residence as a place in which one enjoys protection from illegal trespassing and violent attack. It gives a person the legal right to use deadly force to defend that place (his/her "castle"), and/or any other innocent persons legally inside it, from violent attack or an intrusion which may lead to violent attack.

In a legal context, therefore, use of deadly force which actually results in death may be defended as justifiable homicide under the Castle Doctrine.

No, wrong. There was a bench warrant which overrides property right.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
