Breaking the ice

A few thousand Penelec customers were expected to spend Wednesday night without power as the utility scrambled to fix lines downed by the ice storm.

PENELEC is a joke. Ever since GPU took over the Erie operation they have cut, cut ,cut crews until there is no one left to service Erie. It's time the state PUC stepped in and fined GPU for their lack of service!

WOW! I did not know that Penelec could control the weather.

They can't control the weather...but they can control the amount people that they have working for them. The few people they have can't fix all this in adequate enough time to keep people from freezing to death.

triple their annual fixed costs for repairs that may be needed one week a year....then raise your rates...and you cry even louder to the PUC...buy a generator or move to Russia...just quit whining and control your own destiny
