Mr. Vendetti has accused me of something that I feel he knew from the start that I was not guilty of. And, made many threats in the process. I have had much communication with Village officials yet, it appears nothing has been done. I still live with these open threats of prosecution and search warrant of my family's home.
After I requested disciplinary action, he then sent a notice that I was in violation of stop work order for another property. No stop work order had been served. Ron was kind enough to inform me how a stop work order was to be served by the paragraph of code he referenced in the violation notice. Ron's initial improper service took 5 days to reach me by first class mail. If he is saying I need to change something, its too late. Too much work was already done. The Village will be held responsible for any cost involved with Ron's negligence. Ron, finally, had a stop work order posted on the property 12 days after the date of the initial violation notice. Ron's improper service of a stop work order had to be an act of willful misconduct due to the fact that he included the very description of such service in the violation notice and the amount of job experience that Ron has gained in his years as Codes Enforcement Officer. This was not a matter of inexperience or lack of education. I have known Ron to not follow procedure in the past. The Village Board has known Ron to show rudeness and incompetence on the job.
Will you be the next victim?

Careful about planting tulip baubs in your front yard.... they might not meet code.

If I am correct, there is a certain code requirement for that.... and yours doesn't meet code. Way too small.

"Village people for Village jobs..." unless it's the Codes Officer, then it's A-OK!

But don't worry, I'll investigate into these recent Allegations of harassment! I promise you, I'll take care of everything and make the Village a safe place for everyone to live, where everyone can be friends and sit in circles around the campfire and sing Kumbayah!

It would seem to me that in order to have a job like this, one would need to be physically fit for the position. It takes a lot of balance to walk around properties snooping around with a a pen and clipboard. I do recall some years back in the 90s a certain Town codes officer who had the same demeaner as this village guy. If I remember the story right, he was a fill in, but still went to an air show and tripped in a wood chuck hole and broke his leg. You really have to watch where you are stepping. The village might have wood chuck holes too. With a large belly out front, it might be considered a hazzard to allow one to continue work in an out of shape condition like that. Perhaps his job description mentions that.

I don't have a job description...nor a handbook to follow...ask the trustees and the mayor, they will put you in their place with their shiny red button

There are plenty of areas around Rochester that if "vaporised" would make it a much better place to live and visit.

I'm quite capable of doing my job. It is MY JOB! This is MY VILLAGE! Nobody tells me what to do. Lunestra makes me see butterflies, and I may eat and walk and drive and even do my job in my sleep....but damn it, I've got experience and nobody tells me how to do my job......or else!

I reconfigured the red button (since I don't do my own job most of the time anyhow) to bring me lunch whenever it is pressed. I was surprised to receive lunch Wednesday night, but hardly disappointed.

Love the big sign on route 31 telling people that Contractors can be arrested for working on the house. Hmmm.. I wonder if the sign meets code.... better watch out, might get sighted for an inappropiately sized sign too....

Did you research the legal statutes for the town regarding building permit requirements? If it's required, it's required and you have to be the measly fvcken $30 like the rest of have to. All the goofy pics on facebook and ugly signs in the world isn't going to change it. Do you plan on still splitting that old dump up into 4 apts and raking in the loot on poor tenants backs? Maybe the code enforcer said no because he does not want another slumlord on his hands.
