I hope he is found soon...my thoughts to the family at this time. However, why, when in the early stages of Alzheimers, would anyone want him to ride the bus alone? That is a very long bus ride....

I agree, Brenda. I would think the family, if they couldn't afford to send somebody with him, would have at least alerted the driver, who could have kept an eye on him.

The driver would most likely not have been able to make sure that he got on the right bus at his transfer points. Somebody should have gone with him.

Gee, hss...why would anyone get on an airplane after a hole was found in the side of a Quantas jet last week? Just remain the hermit that you are, and get a clue.

I know the family personally, and they did not send him on the bus ride alone. He left on his own without the family knowing and purchased his own ticket. The family was hoping that he arrived in Louisiana, however upon arrival of the bus, he was not on it. Please send your prayers out this family and his safe return.

People in the early stages of alzheimers really do believe they can handle certain situations. He, I'm sure, thought he was quite capable of making this trip.

My prayers go out to his family and friends. I certainly hope he is found safe.

Please explain, if they did not know he got the ticket, how were they waiting for him in Louisiana?

I agree! I watched my mom go through Alzheimer's for 7 long years. I watched my mom die from it in a nursing home that day. Its a very mean disease.

True...I didn't think of that...they did mention a few transfers. Glad he was found safe.
