i heard they have amentally ill young man locked up that needs to be in a hospital who is under pysiatric care but instead of helping him they have tazered him 3 times

I hear the sheriff gave his girlfriend a county cell phone so that he could call her without her husband finding out. OOOPS . The husband found it and wont return it to Doug.

His reputation has always been bad with cheating on his wife. This is the first time I think he really got caught and can't lie his way out of it. The father-in-law is Tom Scates and head of the democrat party in White County. I sure hope he goes after that cheatin snake with a good candidate for sheriff.

She has a thing for men in uniform and her husband and children apparently aren't too important to her. Sounds like to me they should be a perfect couple. I expect more of the sheriff of White County. He should set an example for the citizens of White County.

As far as I know, she was never elected by the citizens and never ran for political office. So I really don't expect much from her. I do expect MORE from Sheriff Maier but as usual his true colors show through.

I do not condone the actions of either. I merely find it interesting that in situations like this, one party is always vilified more than the other, and as you know…..it takes two. I only interjected some of the same kind of statements you made and borrowed your adjectives. I like your idealism, but I don’t think it’s sincere and it’s hardly realistic. Considering the frequency with which these things occur, from the presidency on down, I can’t believe ANYONE looks to the example set by public officials before making their own moral decisions. The fact that one is or isn’t an elected official doesn’t make them better or worse, or change the situation in any way in my view. Wrong is wrong. It sounds to me like you’re a little too close to this somehow, or maybe you just have an agenda. I myself don’t have a stake in this game, but my heart does go out to both families, and I sincerely hope they can survive intact. My guess is that there are a lot of people hurting right now, including the parties involved.
