The pettiness of these proceedings is second only to the childishness of union politics.

This is why I roundly mocked Student Government morons in school, its just playground bickering with self-righteous boobs grandstanding all the time, doing NOTHING but stacking the deck in their and their friend's favor.

Doesn't this remind you of a high school election for class president gone terribly wrong?

We can hear the song playing in the Senate chambers now, "Children behave..."

Meanwhile, back in GOP-controlled Hempstead Town -- with the backing of Billionaire and Democratic Party contributor George Soros, Town Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby has staged a coup, ousting Supervisor Kate Murray, who was out to lunch (literally) at the time over at the Coliseum Deli.

"I am still absolutely in control," said Murray, through town spokesman, Mike Deery.

Goosby, peering out from under the Supervisor's desk, asked, "Now what do I do?"

"Call it coup. Call it mandate. Call it fate. Call it loss of short-term memory. The GOP is back!"

Paterson is right. Vote these clowns off the map. They're hopelessly corrupt and need a reality check from the people of the State of New York. This is just Tammany Hall all over again.

You can't write this stuff!

Paterson is the only one in Albany with his head screwed on right. He wants to clean up NYS but look at the tools he has to work with?

If Newsday is wondering why their subscriptions have fallen faster then Spitzer, then look no further then their coverage of this. They call this a coup, but when it was tried by Sen. Smith a few yrs ago, it was hailed as a great thing for the state. Thank god I cancelled my subscription and read this crap for free. WAKE UP NBEWSDAY!!

Although the emphasis on laughter and leisure will continue during the rest of the month, today you'll also have to pay attention to your working life. You might have to put in some extra hours in order to meet a deadline, or you could soon be given new responsibilities. If you're fed up with your current job, start considering your options.
