Help, I am trying to find out about the "Bussey Cooperative Telephone Association". It would have been in business in the 1940's. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

Hi, My friend Maxine Doud was the switchboard operator for 29 years at Bussey. She passed away Jan. 2007, she could've told you anything you wanted to know. It was called "Bussey Cooperative Telephone Association" from 1941 till 1959 when it was sold to Bellamy Telephone company of Knoxville, Iowa and operated as the Twin Cedars telephone company. The door to the telephone office in Bussey was locked for the last time May 31, 1962, all the phones "256" had been converted to dial.
