Would Cargill waste corn making ethanol if there wasn't a 51 cent a gallon government subsidy?? Ethanol production is driving up the cost of food.

Agreed-this biofuel craze for ethonal and the like is nuts. Poverty will only rise for low income families thanks to our silly energy policies.

Lets drill for oil in ANWR and offshore too.

This profit is ridiculous. Any profit in excess of 6% needs to be taxed a 100% rate and half of that money returned to the people. The other half of the money should be invested in LRT to move the lower income people to their jobs. Also, gasoline must be taxed at a much higher rate than it is and the money invested in high speed rail to Chicago so lower income families are able to more readily visit family members who have been forced to relocate to the cities due to police harrassment.
