Officer Andersen made quite a few contradictory statements, among them the position of the gun that Lee was allegedly holding with his right hand. Somehow in Andersen's retelling of the events, the gun moved itself from the right hand of a dying man to its final position a few feet away from the dead man's outstretched left hand. In the final moment between Lee allegedly raising the gun with his right hand, whilst lying on his back on the pavement no less, and his last heartbeat, Lee somehow allegedly tossed the gun from his right hand over his body to its final resting place.
As I said, Andersen made more than one incredible statement following the fatal shooting.
The issue of the gun's pristine condition, devoid of blood, sweat, or DNA markers, is another discussion altogether.

Don't forget the lack of gun in his RIGHT hand on the video seconds before he was murdered.

Like you, I was unable to see a gun in Lee's hand in that video. Andersen's gun was quite clear in the video, although he was further from the camera.

Tax you don't have all the FACTS. I am sure you are a reasonable person and would not want to be tried by public opinion.
Ex cop. I'm SURE there are mitigating circumstances. There always are. But, 8 slugs to the back? That's a glaring reality.

Wow only two cops were at the domestic when Andersen was arrested.. since i live not far from there and can count UN like you there were 4 cop cars, 3 Big lake and a Sherburne squad car. so unless they are all in it to mess with Andersen i think they had cause to arrest him and the fact it got thrown out means that the Female probably would cooperate with the investigation so y waste time in the charge if she doesn't want to help. so get a new topic and move past the big lake pd.... i don't think anyone cares anymore

An intriguing point that nobody has commented on up until now is the fact that two Big Lake Police officers went out of their way to try and screw over another, fellow police officer in Jason Andersen and the case got thrown out because they violated his rights. The county attorney admits they dropped all charges because of a "lack of admissible evidence." Now I would hope that these Big Lake officers involved in arresting Officer Andersen respect the rights of all citizens they encounter...but wouldn't you think they would make sure they are following the rules and have enough evidence to arrest a fellow police officer before they intentionally ruin another police officer's career. These Big Lake cops embarrased the entire Big Lake Police Department and the law enforcement profession when they violated Officer Andersen's rights by arresting him without cause.
And this is a police department (Big Lake) that has been an embarrasment enough to their own community and the law enforcement profession with their Police Chief Sean Rifenberick and City Administrator Scott Johnson being sued by FOUR current or former Big Lake police officers for alleged retaliation and Whistleblower violations. This is just another embarrasing chapter to a horribly run city and police department!!!!

You seem to know a lot about this case BLmn to know how many squad cars were there. Perhaps you are one of the Big Lake cops that screwed up this case and are trying to make excuses for why they threw the case out. The fact is that the case was dropped because of poor police work and failure to follow the law regarding reading an in-custody suspect their rights before you interrogate them. The Sherburne County Attorney's Office says this straight out in their press release - the charges were dismissed because of a "lack of admissible evidence." Even a rookie cop knows to read a suspect their rights before you interrogate them, much less doing it to a fellow police officer. If the Big Lake Police officers handling this case knew that the female victim wouldn't cooperate and give a statement, then you don't arrest the suspect anyway. You don't charge the case. Simple as that. As you sure don't make a fellow police officer lose his job and suffer public embarassment because you get your "rocks off" arresting other cops. The Big Lake cops that arrested Jason Andersen should lose their jobs and get sued, along with Big Lake PD. Oh that's right, there's already three lawsuits pending against Big Lake PD and their Police Chief. Oh well, what's one more???

I Don't work for big lake i just live close to were Andersen lives and saw the cars the night that they were there, and i couldn't agree with you more bout the chief but i just don't think it is right to blame the cops for the issues that the leader have..... I may not have much contact with the blpd but the time i did officer rick, the Sergent and the other officer that his name start with a h i think were very helpful and didn't seam to be as horrible as you make them sound

and about the arrest doesn't the law state if there is any sign of physical injury that the officers must arrest and that there is no room for discretion. so even if they thought she wouldn't cooperate they still have to arrest.... and i thought reason he was fired was not for the domestic but conduct over all.

Isn't it possible that Officer Anderson acted properly in Fong Lee, but acted improperly in the case that got him fired?
If it really is a conspiracy to get rid of Anderson for Fong Lee, then why was the chief so supportive of Anderson prior to, during and after the trial? More so than even the union.
Just because charges were dropped in the criminal trial doesn't mean that Anderson didn't do something wrong in the domestic case. If the union and Anderson wants those of us in the public to believe that it is a conspiracy, they should sign a release so that we can all see how bad the internal affairs case is that got him fired. THEN we will know if it is a conspiracy, Until then, it seems to many of us that Officer Anderson did act appropriately in Fong Lee and did violate department policy to the point where he should be fired.
Most women do not file charges in a domestic. Just because he was cleared in the shooting doesn't mean he didn't murder the kid. Just asking, maybe he acted impropery in the Fong case and this is coming back to bite him and Dolan in the butt. With everything going on with the gang unit, I see this as Dolan trying to get some brownie points.

Daily Horoscope for November 27

Libra

If you had a bad day with your partner yesterday, today is the day to kiss and make up. The Moon blends with Neptune to create a romantic passion; this may be a little over the top, but sometimes a bit of drama is in order. Those of you with children may find them acting up, but if you listen closely, you'll find they really just want and need your attention.
