Judged: 2 2 1 Cut out the Government freebies, entitlements, welfare for able bodied people, food stamps,WIC, and etc and then hungry bellies would encourage lazy ass AMERICAN people to seek work just as it was in the old days and there would be no need for more immigrant labor to come here. What part of this don't you people understand? |

Bondi calls it modern-day slavery. She says more than two million people are enslaved in the country, forced to work in the sex trade, massage parlors, nail salons, farm labor and domestic servitude.
The victims are often brought from foreign countries with a promise of a better life in America, but then they're forced into slave labor. http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/article/27... Florida fights the 'ugly crime' of human trafficking 5:09 PM, Sep 24, 2012 |

When you said WALMART you said a lot about the sleezy customers that frequent the place you like to shop. Do you walk in front or behind your wife in the electric tubby buggy? |

Oh please! Look at the people who work for walmart, they are not lazy they want to work, but they want fair wages an better benifits. These places have gotton cheap. Its not Americans who have gotton lazy these compaines seek cheap labor so they dont have to pay above 8 bucks |
A lot of food stamps and medicaid go to people who are working low-wage, no benefit jobs like the ones at Walmart. Minimum wage should be raised to the point where people who work for a living are not required to get taxpayer assistance for their children. Corporate profits are setting new records, so they should be required to pay their workers, not depend on taxpayer subsidies.
Sounds like a plan, however, have you reviewed the subsidy vs income? I'd much prefer prisoners are hired, as we're already paying for them. |
I don't think that we should subsidize profitable corporations with either food stamps and medicaid for their workers, or with prison labor (which would drag wages down even further and compete with people looking for jobs). Part of being in business is paying fair and decent wages and benefits. If a business can't do that, then they need to go out of business no matter how much profit they are making.

Judged: 1 1 1 As long as immigration laws are not enforced and amnesty is being offered to attract even more people to come here illegally wages will remain depressed. It is the law of supply and demand. More people looking for jobs results in lower wages. You voted for more illegals and lower wages so don't blame Walmart or any other employer for doing what you voted for. |
The other part of being in business it to make a profit. If those running a business do not do everything they can to maximize profits they will be replaced by somebody who will. Just as those who will not work for less money under substandard and/or dangerous conditions are replaced by illegal aliens. Since the majority of people voted for lower wages, increased entitlements and reduced enforcement of immigration laws then those who run businesses have no choice but to take advantage of what has been granted by the voters because if they don't they will be put out of business by those who do. |
Record profits indicates that many large employers can afford to pay much higher wages and benefits, but chose instead to have outrageous pay for their CEOs and other executives. Sounds like selfish, greedy people at the top using any excuse they can.
