Citizens have many opportunities to goto college. They easily qualify for student loans, federal & state pell grants and if they're low income... can get reduced tuition fees. I'm sad- really disappointed reading the comments coming from my home town-
Haven't been back in quite a while- not by choice, just have made a life in New York, after Graduate School up here. I'm a teacher- an ELL Teacher. As the daughter of an officer in the military, my dad would get an assignment, we'd go, but then we always came home. Most of the assignments were overseas. Spanish speaking countries. hence, my fluency since I was 12 or 13 years old.
After my father retired, he returned to Alabama to teach Spanish in the University.
Yes, immigration laws are important. We cannot help others unless our own house is in order, and it's far from it. Regardless of your beliefs, regardless of your political position, why fuel the fire of prejudice and hate by verbally vomiting on a website while hiding behind the annonimity of a screen name? Coward. Hateful, mean, stirring up strife and talking about how now the schools can get back to educating.
That's the part where I laughed hysterically- obviously that wasn't working to begin with because most of the posts are mis-spelled and reek of uneducated ignorance.
