Racial differences are insignificant, gender differences are not, they are great and stand in every aspect of our life. Gays understand that fact, and no more want the government saying gender is insignificant in their relationships than we want that in ours.
I've never written a negative word about homosexuals. Keeping marriage between husband and wife is only the best interest of society at large, since every gay was born of mother and father.
Your opinion that racial differences are insignificant and gender difference are significant is your opinion only - not even remotely a fact.

Also, I'm not sure what world you live in, but condescension is very negative. You telling gays and lesbians what is best for them when they tell you the opposite is VERY condescending.

I just am constantly and consistantly amazed how this remains the sole issue of our history that simply must NOT be subjected to the scrutiny of intellegent debate by the populace nor by cultural icons nor politicians. Heck, Christian-Bashing is now fair game. But when one tries to get a pro-gay to reaffirm the merits of their position(s) with clear, objective research, that person gets placed in the same category as a nazi, or the kkk, no matter how gentle or deferential they approach the debate.

I dont know why you hedonistic, raving pro-gay zealots keep throwing all these posts here. In case youve not noticed, the fight is lost. And like every other instance when the people voted, they chose sanity over sexual anarchy. Your only hope is deeply-corrupted politicians and snake oil salesmen. You know its true.

I'm not condescending, I'm reminding homosexuals, gender is very important to them, else they'd be bisexuals. That's how same sex marriage harms gays, government stands on gender being insignificant.

Is Just Think claiming racial differences are significant? If so, how? Or is he claiming gender is insignificant, not important to social roles and human biology?

I wonder. In home improvement, various types of pipe fittings are named either male or female. By gay activists standards, this is bigoted and descriminatory.

Tell you what, Brian, walk into a gay bar and strike up a conversation with some gays and lesbians and explain to them that you are opposed to gay marriage but that you are doing it for their own good.

Let us know how that works out for you.

I tell everyone I know, what I think of same sex marriage. Kudos to Obama, for bringing this to current events.

I'm not going to let threats and intimidation shut me up, ever!

No one is threatening you, Brian - after all, you're doing all of this just to help out gays and lesbians.

So, again, I really think you should head to your nearest gay bar one night and explain to the gays and lesbians that you want to deny them the right to marry because you know better than they what is best for them

Keeping government from recognizing same sex marriage takes nothing from gays or lesbians, before the 21st Century, no written law ever allowed same sex marriage.

Same sex couples can go to their church, they can have whatever commitment ceremony they like. I wish them the best. If they want their friends family to consider them married to their partner, that's fine too. I hope everyone will be happy.

What same sex marriage can't do is change the legal definition of marriage for everyone, so some can get new entitlements. Consider, some gays have already married under current standard so same sex marriage would be ex post facto law.

Changing the definition of marriage by an activist judge is like a forced marriage arranged by a court decree. We don't consent to your same sex marriage proposal.

In other words, you want to deny gays and lesbians all the rights and benefits that heterosexual couples get automatically the moment they are married.

Gay marriage in no way impacts heterosexual marriage. You are not harmed in any way. There is nothing for you to accept or reject.

You can blame the religious fanatics for that.

Any Christian who tries to have his or her specific religious beliefs imposed via civil law on people who don't abide by those beliefs deserves everything he or she gets.
I'd feel the same with anyone from any other religion who did the same.

"Clear, objective research"? Dude, the gay-bashers tend to cite crap that is either decades out of date, or comes from religious fanatics and/or other similarly dubious sources (like the hate groups "Family" Research Council and MassResistance). They try to pass that off as "clear, objective research", they deserve every ounce of derision they get.

Then i ask you annther philosophical question that you may wisely wish to avoid. Can gays and evangelical christians coexist in a functioning way where neither has to be closeted in any way, shape, or form?

So research revealing interpersonal/medical trends of 78 can in no way be applied objectively to today's gay males?

What about bi? There's nothing more erotic than three way sex - two women who are bi, with one man who is straight.

Not changing government's marriage standards in no way impacts heterosexual marriage; observe J.T. hasn't considered the effects of this radical social change.

We are citizens, responsible for our government; keeping marriage between husband and wife is up to us. Vote!

it's a fact that here are many gay evangelicals as well as gays in all other types of religion and every other sect. didn't you know that?
