I am from Albany and live in Lexington now. Topix is a good way to find out of someone has passed. No different than facebook. Not that I believe half the stuff on here but it is usually good to have deaths posted correctly. My heart goes out to the Craven's family. I went to school with Eric and Sherry. So sorry to hear this news.

And the little cross boy was Jacob. He is related to the Browns. They are saying he has a lacerated liver and spleen, and has been flown to UK for treatment..

Kentucky State Police are investigating a single vehicle fatality that happened on KY 696 Saturday night.

The crash happened about 4 miles east of Albany.

John Eric Cravens, 38, of Albany was driving a 2000 Polaris ATV north when he lost control, overturned, and was ejected from the vehicle.

Cravens was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not wearing a helmet, and alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Thanks so much for all the HELPFUL information. This man has a wife, a child, and another on the way. His memory needs to be respected and so do the people he has left behind. People like you need to think before you post hurtful things. What happened is a tragedy, can you not just leave well enough alone? The manner of the accident is not your responsibilty to post.

That was my point, if its in the newspaper then fine. People can read it for themselves, but it is not anyone else's responsibility to post anything that can hurt the family. Everything that gets posted on the internet can be read by anyone, anywhere! This family is in a great amount of pain and they need to be left alone so they can grieve in peace. Please respect this man's family!!!

To all of you who think it is your place to post on here what happened to my cousin Eric should be ashamed! If you want to know what happened then go ask someone who knows instead of starting this crap on here. You all know how the truth gets twisted on here. Eric was a truly amazing person!!!! He will be missed by us all!

We must live for today because we are not promised tomorrow.I pray for these families. Carolyn is a wonderful person and teacher and I know that god will give her strength to get through this tragedy. As for the wife and children keep strong and god bless you. My heart goes out. This could my family or yours so please watch what you say and how it could affect the lives of others. Our tongue is sharp sword. God bless everyone and keep these families in your prayers.

It goes without saying that my brother's death is a tragedy that goes beyond words.I have lost my best friend. I was on the internet tonight and just out of pure curiosity googled his name... I am astonished. I am thankful for those of you that have said kind and truthful things about Eric... For those of you that have choosen to make poor judgement calls, you obviously don't have anything better to do. Aparently, you don't know what it's like to spend every waking and non-waking minute thinking about someone you've lost. There isn't any room in this world for stones to be thrown. Sometimes it is just better to think than to speak... respect goes a long way. My brother touched a lot of people and had kind words for the majority of people he met. He never judged or talked about anyone until he had his facts straight. I will respect his honor and his family. Stop saying what was alegedly in other papers. It WASN'T written in the Clinton Co. news like that.
