A 1977 graduate here. I'd say my best teachers were Doralese Shelley in the first grade and Mrs. Doris Carver in high school english. I still remember the ass whooping I got from Mr. Clayton Brown and that golf swing of his. I felt the first lick but not the following two. I loved Mrs. Brummett. Mr. Jerry Branham was another memorable teacher of mine. Wesley York, my 6th grade teacher was another good one.

I have to ask...what do you do for a living now?
I am an operations manager for a well known company. Work ethic, social skills and common courtesies go a long way in life. These aren't qualities that you learn from a textbook.
What about you? Are you from Albany?

I graduated in 97, my favorite high school teachers were Martha Harlan and Debbie Craig....oh yeah, forgot to mention Doug Sell, he was a very good band teacher!

In middle school it was Sid Scott Jr. In grade school is was Ms. Shelly.

Ms. Shelly is probably my overall favorite, because she got me interested in reading and spelling.

I remember dominating the spelling bees, hahahah.

I only went to Albany Elementary through the second grade and then moved to another county. My favorite teacher in Albany was my kindergarten teacher - Ms Nancy. She was so cool. I will never forget her. Does anyone know if she is still teaching?

Mine is a toss up. It is between Martha Harlan because she really cared, T. Davis because he is so crazy in his teaching that you want to pay attention , and Doug Sell who I had for band for 8 yrs.

I think my favorite had to have been Jerry Branham ,he was strict if you got out of line, but he wanted everyone to learn, he did a great job teaching. And back then he was allowed to read the Bible to us and he taught moral's and Christian values! they aren't allowed to do that now but, if they could kid's would be better behaved. Oh yeah i still remember he called his paddle (OLD BLACKIE) he had electical taped all around it. Great man....
