Ive read the book. Very interesting you could say, but also crazy. Its hard to imagine how much times have changed since that book was written.

It was published by a vanity publisher and printed in Hot Springs AR, That means DR Hay had to put up some or all the print cost. Not much of a market for the history of one county, the Book was called "The country Doctor" By Floyd B. Hay

It was more of an autobiography of his life and the people he served as a DR in Clinton County. If he had sent it to major publishing houses he would have got that thing picked up by a major publisher, it was that good of a read.

He gave me a copy back in 1983 when I was a child dedicated to my grandfather, that was a class act. I loaned it out to a person who never returned it to me.

The only place I can find a copy of now is with the mormon church library who collect books of this nature and save in a vault. UK has a copy to Here is a link with call and reference numbers to the book. Contact the mormon church and they can tell you who the printer was and you can order your own for about the cost of $25

Currently Amazon list the book as out of print. If like 100 people get together to order they might be able to get it back in print for a special order.

The book is also on Kindle and should be out on I-Book soon. If your a reader, forget books go Kindle, every title ever published at your finger tips. I can not imagine how I-book could improve on it.
